Rick Pantera[edit]

Hi! I'm not sure who Rick Pantera is, but before you add him again to List of male performers in gay porn films, would you kindly read the comment that says:

"PLEASE DON’T ADD NAMES UNLESS THERE IS AN ARTICLE ON THE PERSON AS A PERFORMER IN GAY PORN FILMS.

Since Mr. Pantera *doesn't* have an article, adding him to the list again would constitute vandalism, which can get you blocked. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a note! Thanks, -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 20:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, before you go all out adding every video of his you might want to check out Wikipedia:WikiProject_Pornography#Filmographies which gives guidelines on what to include. Benjiboi 02:16, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do not remove the fact dates until you have a source. --AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 22:14, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blocking[edit]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because of concerns that the chosen username may not meet our username policy.
This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it - see below.

Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, related to a 'real-world' group or organization, confusing, or misleading.

If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username which is quick and easy. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
Last, the automated software systems that prevent vandalism may have been activated, which can cause new account creation to be blocked also. If you have not acted in a deliberately inappropriate manner, please let us know if this happens, and we will deactivate the block as soon as possible. You may also appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Promotional" usernames are only promotional if they promote something "Misleading" ... This was written in

Decline reason:

This account and username were blocked because username policy forbids any username that matches or is substantially similar to a real-world organization. If you wish to request a username change while blocked use {{unblock-un}}. You will be asked to provide a new username and have it approved before the change and unblock can be made. But any admin will consider the link below as well. This cannot be a shared account ... it muse be used by one person and one person only, and in accordance with Wikipedia policy. — Daniel Case (talk) 04:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

[Declined block on UAA] This is a case of one administrator overriding another administrator. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Allstarecho "Declined block on UAA " this name is valid

Decline reason:

the username still resembles or is substantially similar to a real-world organization.AzaToth 16:19, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please include a decline or accept reason.

I would think that username would have the same problem as your original does. Aleta (Sing) 20:31, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to Point Nexis (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

Please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Rick_Pantera#Videography Having that particular user name isn't the only reason the block should stand. --AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 04:08, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
