Welcome to Wikipedia, User:Work56734! I hope you like it here and decide to stay. I noticed you have been miffed because a page you mothered or fathered has been deleted by User:Bongwarrior. From what he said in reply, I assume you had written an article about yourself; is that right? If so, he also said that you can write about yourself on your userpage, and make it look like an article. I fully support that, and what's even better is that you can use userboxes!

What is a userbox? It's a little tab-like rectangular box, with lots of colours, often, that you put on your page. For instance, if you wanted to say that you support stem cell research (not implying you do, if you don't; this is just a for-instance!) you would put two curly brackets ahead of: User:William Pembroke/Userboxes/Stem Cell Support and then put two curly brackets after. The result should look something like this:

This user supports stem cell research.

See the help page for more on how to contribute to Wikipedia. To know more about how to personalize your userpage - well actually, I'm not much good for advice on that, sorry! But you can have a look around on other userpages, and if there's a userbox which could describe something about you, you might choose to go to that user's edit section (but I'd reccommend not actually changing anything on their page, as they might get offended, you never know) and then copy the formula for that userbox, as it appears. Then go to edit your userpage, and paste what you copied in there. It's very easy, when you get the hang of it!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian! For test edits, the sandbox is your best choice, and it's almost as fun as a literal sandbox! In fact, when you become a little more of an advanced editor, and know and understand more of the rules/policies of Wikipedia, you might even request to have a sandbox made in your name! Many users (me not included - yet!) have done this.
