Hello Worddust, thank you for your good-faith contribution to this article. However, I have reverted the edit for now: Forbes contributor articles are usually not considered reliable sources on Wikipedia (they are often mere opinion pieces without editorial oversight) - see WP:RS for detailed information about reliable sources. Also, content on Wikipedia should be written in a formal, dispassionate language focussing on objective verifiable facts. The added content was written more like text from a business magazine, instead of a "dry" encyclopedic summary. Some aspects of formal encyclopedic language are explained in WP:TONE.

I hope these tips are helpful and you'll continue to contribute to Wikipedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or at WP:Teahouse, a forum for new editors. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 15:55, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Passfeed, Inc. draft, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your question[edit]

Hello Worddust. I see you've asked a question about editing Wikipedia on a draft page, Draft:Passfeed, Inc. draft. This is not recommended because it is unlikely that people will see the question quickly. A good place to ask questions is at the Wikipedia:Teahouse, and you can also use the {{help me}} template on this page here by placing your question directly after it.

As you are affiliated with the company you wish to write about, you must comply with the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline — a simplified guide is available here to help you get started. A simplified guide to the criteria for a page to be included on Wikipedia can be found here and Wikipedia:Your first article is a broader overview of other potential mistakes for beginners.

The most important thing is for the article to be written neutrally, without being biased for (or against) your company. The tone must be impartial and dispassionate — sensationalism will not be accepted.

Any potentially controversial statement must have an inline citation to a reliable source immediately after it so that it can be verified (this may be an offline or non-English source if an online English source would be of lower quality, so long as it is publicly accessible).

Sources must be independent (no press releases, interview, sponsored content or anything with any affiliation too your company) except in very specific circumstances, and you must have significant coverage (a few hundred words each, or segments several minutes long) in at least 3 different publishers. Major news organizations like the New York Times are preferred, though smaller news organizations are acceptable. You can ask at the Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard if you aren't sure.

Good luck! Alpha3031 (tc) 14:18, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
