Points tables[edit]

Hi WilliamF1two. Thanks for your recent efforts adding points tables to F1 race report articles. One minor request: can you please include the accents on Kimi Räikkönen's surname, i.e. can you write Kimi Räikkönen rather than Kimi Raikkonen? And likewise for Mika Häkkinen. I've fixed all the existing ones. Thanks. DH85868993 (talk) 04:20, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock-ip|1=217.39.45.214|2=<nowiki>{{blocked proxy}} <!-- 26303 -->|3=ProcseeBot}}</nowiki>

Hello. The open proxy seems to be closed now. It's likely that you're on a dynamic IP address so it's probably someone else's problem, but you may want to run an anti-virus check in any case. This type of block typically happens when a compromised computer has used the IP address. -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:34, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bellof at the 1983 European Grand Prix[edit]

Hi WilliamF1two. Do you have a reference for Stefan Bellof having been entered in the 1983 European Grand Prix, as you have indicated at McLaren MP4/1? It isn't mentioned in Bellof's article or the race article and I couldn't find any confirmation using Google or any of my printed sources. DH85868993 (talk) 03:30, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2009 teams[edit]

Hi. Are you sure about adding the 2009 template to the 2009 McLaren drivers and the McLaren article? Are you going to add it to all teams and drivers from that season? Are you going to add templates for all 60 F1 World Championship seasons to the Ferrari article? Seems like template overkill to me - am I missing something? 4u1e (talk) 20:27, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, even for the drivers Rubens Barrichello would have 18 templates on his article and Michael Schumacher would have 17. Those are the extremes, but many drivers would have between 5 and 10 templates, which seems like an awful lot. What information are we trying to get across here? If someone wants to see who a driver or team have competed against they could read the article (!) or go to the season pages. 4u1e (talk) 13:53, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've nominated the template for deletion. Feel free to continue the discussion at the TfD discussion page. DH85868993 (talk) 15:28, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notable players for Hull City[edit]

Hi mate, thanks for the Notable Players list addition.

The regular editors at the page try to keep the article well-sourced (so it can maintain Good Article status). When you get a chance, could you add the one you used to research the list to that section? Cheers, Northumbrian (talk) 22:56, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flagicons in opera articles[edit]

Please stop adding flagicons to rolestables in opera articles. They are unhelpful and distracting. Best regards --Francesco Malipiero (talk) 16:24, 11 October 2010 (UTC) Afterthought: I know nationality is a very important factor in the world of sports. It is not however considered very important in the world of opera and classical music.--Francesco Malipiero (talk) 16:36, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image Gallery[edit]

Hi there. I believe your recent addition of a gallery to the BMW Sauber F1.09 article is not in line with Wikipedia's policy on these things (I'm also not sure it's to the benefit of the article, which is perhaps more important!). The relevant policy is here and says that "The images in the gallery collectively must have encyclopedic value and add to the reader's understanding of the subject." and "a gallery consisting of an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject should generally either be improved ... or moved to Wikimedia Commons."

The pictures tell me nothing about the subject of the article, which is the car. They don't even tell me much about the season, which should mostly be covered by other articles anyway; they seem to be a random collection of images from the (much larger) number that are on commons.

Can I suggest that you look at the Brabham BT19 and Brabham BT49 for some examples of images that are being used to illustrate points about the subject of the article. You could select images that illustrate the particular technical solutions implemented on that car. For example the narrower rear wing compared to its predecessor, the radically different shape of the front wing from the F1.08, the various revisions that were used through the year etc etc. This would probably mean trimming some of the images to focus on the front wing, or the sidepods, or whatever. Some ideas of technical aspects of the car that could be illustrated by the images can be found at these sites (and many others): [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]. Hope you don't mind my mentioning it! 4u1e (talk) 20:46, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Use of non free media[edit]

I have deleted your addition to Barbara Flynn of a non free media photograph (in use on the Biederbecke Affair article). You can use existing photographs but you MUST add a separate none free media rationale for every page you add it to. Please complete the rationale BEFORE adding the non free photograph. F1 2010[edit]

Hi. STR have not confirmed their drivers at the moment. They were not included in the latest revision of the entry list available here:
http://www.fia.com/en-GB/mediacentre/pressreleases/f1releases/2010/Pages/f1_2011_entry.aspx.
Though this revision has been published on 02/12/2010, Petrov and Karthikeyan who have been confirmed later appear in the driver list on Formula1.com, while Buemi and Alguersuari don't. Hence the doubt, though I have to admit that this is a weird situation. I suggest to wait until the first test sessions take place. It will become clearer very soon. Anyway, this issue has already been discussed in the talk page, so feel free to share your point of view. Maimai009 (talk) 18:09, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

LFC in Europe[edit]

Hey, I noticed that you are in the process of adding a game by game season record of LFC in Europe. Personally, I don't think there is any need for this. Firstly with all the games Liverpool have played in Europe, this will be a huge list and will lead to the page becoming too big and will not allow the page to pass GA which is my aim. Secondly, the record by season, is already there and provides the information (albeit with the teams) in a simpler and easier to digest format. By all means continue editing the article, but I think there are more constructive ways to improve the article than adding a ridiculously big list to it. NapHit (talk) 12:21, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't think you'd be able to get away with a list on its own as its notable enough, and the detail is covered in the Europe and season articles. I'm going to remove the list, before it gets an bigger, as there really is no need for it to be perfectly honest. NapHit (talk) 13:05, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
