Lead[edit]

Based on Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Novels, the lead section needs to summarize the article as a whole and should reflect its structure and content. Leads also should be between 2–4 paragraphs. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary[edit]

Do Willy and Marguerite simply become closer? More specificity is required. What does the novel portray? Overall, you've done a good job with detailing the main events in the novel. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Character[edit]

Good job including so many different characters. Don't Willie's parents have names? You may consider breaking up this section into minor and major characters given the number of characters. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Themes[edit]

This is a great section for including sources. See Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Novels. Although there isn't much written on this novel, you can still look up to see how some of the themes that you detail are explored in Caribbean literature, Anglophone Caribbean literature, white/Anglo-Caribbean literature, etc. Remember to use the Cite feature when you incorporate secondary sources.Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Love[edit]

HOME is capitalized. Why? What is this supposed to indicate? Need to explain more here. In this section, you start explaining the theme of class but curiously don't have this as a separate theme itself.Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hopes & Dreams[edit]

Referencing the American Dream and Manifest Destiny requires citation. You can do this through using the other Wikipedia articles on these topics. Also, how about explaining what is portrayed on its own terms in the colonial Trinidad context.Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Other Themes[edit]

What about memory & memory space, race, class, colonization?

Style & Structure[edit]

This section should be expanded and more carefully detailed. It could include a series of subsections on the three parallel plots, epistolary style, and language. This is a great section for sources. Remember to use the Cite feature when you incorporate secondary sources. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Language & Wikipedia Style[edit]

Make sure that you check your grammar, word choice, and sentences to ensure clarity. There are many little grammar mistakes that reduce ease of comprehension. Also use Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Novels and To_Kill_a_Mockingbird to see how to format the title of a book in Wikipedia. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Citation[edit]

Instead of including page number in parentheses, which is The_MLA_Style_Manual, you should use the Cite feature in Wikipedia, which is found at the top of menu bar or Wikipedia:Citation_templates. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Where are your two journal articles, two Open_educational_resources, two newspaper articles? These should be referenced throughout through footnotes. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:20, 1 June 2015 (UTC) Also, remember to cite throughout. Use your sources. Redwellie14 (talk) 20:24, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
