January 2008[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to George Washington's early life‎. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 05:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First, the edit was off-topic to the article, since it's about Washington's early life. Second, the edit did not cite the source. Third, make sure that any source used meets the reliable sources guidelines, remembering that the stronger the assertion, the stronger the source required. —C.Fred (talk) 06:07, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to George Washington's early life, you will be blocked from editing. Rjd0060 (talk) 06:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not only that, but continued reverting of edits—more than three reverts to an article within a 24-hour period—can also yield a block for violation of the three-revert rule. —C.Fred (talk) 06:08, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You copied the same question to me as you left here, so I'll copy the same answer: First, the edit was off-topic to the article, since it's about Washington's early life. Second, the edit did not cite the source. Third, make sure that any source used meets the reliable sources guidelines, remembering that the stronger the assertion, the stronger the source required. - Rjd0060 (talk) 06:09, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are in danger of breaching the three-revert rule on George Washington's early life. If you would like to suggest additions to the article, please do so on Talk:George Washington's early life in a calm, civil manner, citing reliable sources. Edit-warring is not constructive. shoy 06:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry...[edit]

I'm just an a-hole. I'll leave Wikipedia alone from now on. I was demonstrating to a friend how unreliable edits are quickly remedied. Let's just say he has a much higher opinion of Wikipedia now. Washingtonlover (talk) 06:12, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but please do not Disrupt Wikipedia to make a point any more. Thanks, Rjd0060 (talk) 06:13, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
