Hi Mean as custard! Using Wikipedia as a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion was not my intention. What would you suggest in order to improve the quality of the article while respecting the spirit of Wikipedia? Thank you! WasherJ (talk) 11:13, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Most of what you added appeared to have been taken direct from the company brochure, though without any attribution: "The company communicates its belief that "pets make our world better" and in return, the purpose of Royal Canin is to Make A Better World for Pets™ by offering them the best possible health through nutrition." . . . "Royal Canin develops and shares the knowledge they acquire on dogs and cats globally to help give a better understanding of pets and their needs." . . . "Royal Canin aims aim to improve pet quality of life by providing the right nutritional solution. " . . . "Royal Canin aims to be a business that brings value not only for pets, but also for people and the planet." . . . "Royal Canin conducts business with a nutrient-led philosophy that helps put health and sustainability at the core of every formulation decision."
- This sort of stuff does not belong in an encyclopedia. Anything that is added must be verifiable, i.e. a source must be quoted, and not a source whose only interest is in promoting a product. . . Mean as custard (talk) 11:29, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- OK, this is great feedback. I genuinely wish to contribute to the Wikipedia article in good faith. I'll rework the article to include sources that do not have an interest in promoting a product. In your opinion, can we at least update the main picture? The Royal Canin factory in Aimargues is no longer under construction. Thanks for your support!
