Telford Steam Railway[edit]

Hi Walt, no problem on the TSR article, glad I could help. I'm always happy to help on any railway-related articles. Feel free to drop me a note on my talk page if you need further assistance. Best, Gwernol 12:57, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Snailbeath Railways Page - links[edit]

Walt, I believe the group was temporarily renamed for no particular reason, no doubt to annoyance 'Snailbeach'. It has reverted to its orignal name, and I see 'Scarborugh Billy' has fixed the link much to the bots disgust! Unusual deaths edit[edit]

There's discussion on the talk page about creating a separate list, but none has been started to my knowledge. You have to be careful though as the ironic criteria seems even more ORish than the unusual deaths (you can see our discussion about that issue as well). Bottom line is that either list could be subject to a deletion if anyone gets up the urge. NJGW (talk) 16:51, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

British Rail Railbuses[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in British Rail Railbuses, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

In your edit, you replaced required non-breaking spaces with regular spaces (before bhp) (WP:NBSP and WP:MOSNUM), and also in 63ft (although 63 ft was wrong anyway); I have changed these occurrences to use the {{convert}} template which gives the metric equivalents as well as the correct formatting.

In addition, by changing Northeast Corridor to North East Corridor, the correct link now pointed to a disambiguation page. Finally, changing "converted to 1,600 mm (5 ft 3 in) Irish gauge" to "converted to 1600mm gauge" not only gives the incorrect formatting, but attempts to jump to a non-existent section within the track gauge article.

I've added this talk page to my watchlist, should you wish to ask anything on formatting or similar topics. Tim PF (talk) 22:06, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tim PF, thanks for the belated welcome and the cookies! Something odd going on on the British Rail Railbuses page, as the only edit I made was to change the location of RB004 to a blank entry. Any idea how the other edits got attributed to me? Most puzzling...
WaltTFB (talk) 22:49, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, it looks like this is the edit that actually happened (somehow). I find it odd that it appears such, as you normally edit by section, which is not possible from older versions, so I find it just as plausible that the software threw a wobbly.
I'll catch up with the few other bits that need reverting, and that's that. Tim PF (talk) 20:16, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that Tim, feel free to drop off more cookies anytime! WaltTFB 20:35, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
That's ok. I think I've got it back to normal again, so my additional formatting improvements and the weekend's changes for RB004's move are in this edit. Could you just check that I didn't screw things up, please? Tim PF (talk) 20:43, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me WaltTFB (talk) 22:20, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, WaltTFB. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Online Transport Archive".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Lapablo (talk) 19:54, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid real life has intervened in the meantime, if I am able to find the required sources recreating the page will not be a great chore. Thanks for your message! WaltTFB (talk) 14:12, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
