Ken Layne[edit]

Hi Waitalie, I'm not sure if you know that I pinged you about two weeks back about the article Ken Layne. It's an infrequently edited entry, but I have written a new version of it at Mr. Layne's behest, and since you are one of the few editors to make any content-based edits to it, I'd tried to ping you upon my first request. On account of my COI, I figure it's better I not edit the article directly. But the current article has many problems, especially regarding its sourcing, and I think the draft I've prepared would be an improvement. Would you be willing to review my proposed update? Whoops, sorry about that!
For future reference, you really only had to send one message. I'd made all of those edits before you sent your first message, so the second and third message really came across like you wanted me to feel horrible, even though I'm sure you didn't intend them that way.
It looks like you have an awesome track record on here, and I really respect that. Please remember that not everyone has the experience with editing Wikipedia that you do, though.

Ah sorry, I did not want to make you feel horrible. My messages just followed the order in which I reviewed your edits.
Could you please take some time to review your other edits of the recent past, and verify whether you could perhaps have made similar mistakes?

No problem! Thanks for fixing my indentation.
Those are the only reference fixes that I recall making. I might have fixed some broken references while I was fixing something else about a page, but I'm not sure. I found the red tide page because I was looking for it (because of the current red tide in Florida), and the red tide page was very difficult to read since half the text was large, bold, and red due to the error. Then, out of curiosity, I searched "Cite error: A < ref > tag is missing the closing < /ref >." (minus the spaces)
I also went on the category for pages with incorrect ref formatting and the category for pages with reference errors. Waitalie Nat (talk) 21:01, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2018 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Waitalie Nat. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
