Thanks[edit]

Thanks. It took a while to get to the point, but it was worth it.--Stone (talk) 18:09, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A point where you can get an article to be promoted to a good article without much help of others. I also know where the areas are located in which it gets dangerous, for example climate controversy and cold fusion. For people who love drama this areas are fun but I like more contributing to articles. It is also good to know little controversies going on in the background. The Eastern European mailing list was my favourite lecture from that topic.--Stone (talk) 19:45, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Some people tried to push their point of view. They talked on an mailing list about how to lure other people in traps. Than they would team up and try to get the people leave wikipedia or force them out by accusing them of doing something wrong. These people behaved bad for quite some time and forced some people into blocks or into resignation at the end they caught and received topic bans or got banned for some time. This was a nice image of what is possible behind the scenes and how fast and how quiet this thing was handled and than stored in some cupboard without attracting to much free-riders to do the same.
Explicit image featured on Wikipedia's main page is another highlight of this month, but only if you have the viewpoint from the liberal and free old Europe.

Remember that wikipedia is full of people and you encounter the nice and good ones and there are also the evil ones which hide and come after what they want when their time has come.--Stone (talk) 22:49, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Birds[edit]

If you'd bothered to actually read my original 2008 response to you, you'd see that I agreed with you! But whatever... MeegsC | Talk 22:20, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Vuerqex. You have new messages at Outback the koala's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Hello WikiProject Space member! A discussion has been started regarding the future of WikiProject Space here; any comments you might have would be welcome! There are mainly two competing ideas:

  1. Centralize all the Space-related WikiProjects, such as Astronomy and Spaceflight, and merge them into WikiProject Space, or
  2. Separate the Astronomy and Spaceflight "sides" of WikiProject, and remove WikiProject Space.

If you can think of other options, that's great too. Your contribution to the discussion would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)

Announcement[edit]

Hello! I'm The Arbiter, one of the coordinators for WikiProject Zoo. I am proud to announce the launch of a new portal: Portal:Zoos and Aquariums! ZooPro, ZooFari, and I worked hard to create a new portal for information on zoos, aquariums, and the associated projects and articles on Wikipedia. If you could head on over, take a look at our work, and maybe learn some more about zoos and Wikiproject Zoo, it would be great! Cheers and Happy Editing!

At WikiProject Amphibians and Reptiles, in which you are listed as a member, we're working on a pretty massive backlog (1000+ articles!) of unassessed articles. We would appreciate it greatly if you would help assess the articles in the link. It's simple to do!

  1. Read over the article.
  2. On the discussion page, look for the {{AARTalk}} template. Add in a "class" and "importance" parameter if the template does not have them already. Example: {{AARTalk|class= |importance= }}
  3. For the class, fill in the article's quality using the WikiProject's quality scale: stub, start, C, B, GA, A, or FA. Most unassessed articles will probably be stubs or start class articles, and definitely B or lower.
  4. For the importance, fill in the article's importance to the WikiProject using the importance scale: low, mid, high, or top. Most unassessed articles will probably be low or mid importance.
  5. Then you're done!

It's not a difficult task, but there's a lot to get done. Our hope is that we can chip through the backlog and assess every article within the auspices of the project. Thanks, bibliomaniac15 00:31, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User:Vuerqex/userboxes/anti-fascist, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Vuerqex/userboxes/anti-fascist and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Vuerqex/userboxes/anti-fascist during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Skomorokh 14:03, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 19:24, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Animal rights[edit]

You are receiving this semi-automated message because you are a participant of WikiProject Animal rights. If the project is not on your watchlist or you have not visited the WikiProject recently you will not be aware of some of the changes that I have made to the pages, or aware of an a issue that has been raised about my attempt to re-categorise some of the project related articles. Please revisit the project talk page to add your input. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 22:27, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
