Re: Contribution to Jennie Eisenhower page[edit]

Dear Vince, It's Jennie Eisenhower, and I apologize for any confusion re: changes on my site. I am not well-versed in the ways that Wikipedia works and it has taken some doing on my part to finally discover this "talk" option, and to be able to reach you.

I was not the creator of my Wikipedia site, but because it is out there I have come on board to try to manage and update it. Re: the International Deb ball removal: I have nothing against the Ball - they were a nice organization who courted me to participate (because of my mother having done so) and I agreed to when I was 18 years old, knowing very little about what debutante balls signified historically. But the mention of the ball is the second thing that people see about me when they visit Wikipedia and it makes me very uncomfortable.

I am a professional actor/director/teacher and have devoted my life to my craft. If people are to know anything I have done publicly I would prefer it be my 20 years in Actors Equity and SAG, my fundraising work for theatres and other charities and interviews I have given about my family and career - and not my participation in a ball 25 years ago.

I appeal to you as a fellow Wikipedia user, but hopefully also as a person on the other end of the line, so to speak. Certainly if people Google me and spend a lot of time looking through articles, that deb information is something they can find, and I have no intention of erasing history. I would just rather that not be the thing that people focus on.

I hope I have give you clarity on my attempted edits. I appreciate your time. Yours, Wiki255wiki (talk) 00:32, 12 July 2018 (UTC)wiki255wiki[reply]
