Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of "Occupy" protest locations

Hi, I'd appreciate if you could review your closing decision here. This was closed hours after delsort and it was speedily closed despite the fact that there was a "delete" !vote (even if one does not count the nom). I think that is incorrect and the debate should have been allowed to run its normal course. Please re-open. --Crusio (talk) 14:08, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

I do think this was incorrect and would appreciate if it were re-opened. Speedy closures are bound to be controversial and should not be closed that way by non-admins. --Crusio (talk) 14:32, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

I disagree that the article Sarah Whitehead meets CSD, I know the subject and it's not a hoax, I think the article just needs referencing to make it encylopedic and to prove notability. Wikimedia Stories Project

Hello,

My name is Victor Grigas, and I'm a storyteller at the Wikimedia foundation. We're telling stories of Wikipedia users, editors, donors, programmers and staff to paint a picture of who uses Wikipedia - for the 2011 fundraiser.

I am in the process of planning a trip to India to gather stories from Indian Wikipedians in face-to-face interviews (possibly on video).

My primary goal is to conduct 15-20 interviews, and hopefully enough of my interviews will make compelling stories that will effectively solicit donations from the public. These stories may also be used for other communication purposes by the foundation.

I found your userpage on a list of prolific Wikipedians and thought I’d reach out to you. Prolific editing is always a good story to tell!

Welcoming of newbies

Hello, just to let you know that you're doing a good job welcoming newbies but some newbie are best to left to let them edit a few articles first before you welcome-tag them as some could be sockpuppets of banned or blocked editors. One good example was this edit of yours, I don't blame you for not knowing that he might have created a new account to avoid getting into trouble making tendentious edits on article pages in clear violation of WP:MOS and WP:NPOV. In future, it would be more prudent for you when you're not sure of things to get in touch with an Adminstrator immediately to ask for help or clarification.
