March 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Alison Thompson—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 02:43, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"It did not appear constructive" provides no information as to why you reverted it and adding a caption is not an experiment for the sandbox. Can you be more specific? Verbosity1 (talk) 03:11, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Alison Thompson. Wikipedia is not a collection of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links may include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. IronGargoyle (talk) 03:20, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please explain why it is an inappropriate link if it is to the organization's webpage that is mentioned in the article? The webpage has MORE information for the Wiki reader, should they wish to explore, as opposed to overly burdening the Wiki article with similar or repeated information. I would like to learn more and improve the page. Verbosity1 (talk) 01:13, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
