Name reversions on D-BOYS articles[edit]

Hi Vanilla. Changes such as this may be controversial, which is why there is a discussion page to talk about such changes and reach a consensus. The name order is not set in stone, but it has been suggested and accepted as such for some time, so please use the article's talk page to discuss this change first, and reach a consensus with all the editors working on this article. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Inviolata (talkcontribs) 20:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Setokoji.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Setokoji.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Abarenbo Mama, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Abarenbo_Mama. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 18:25, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:Makita.jpg, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material without the permission of the author. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.watanabepro.co.jp/mypage/artist/makitatetsuya.html. As a copyright violation, Image:Makita.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:Makita.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. For text material, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source, provided that it is credible.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:Makita.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Makita.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:Makita.jpg.

However, for text content, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Muchness 14:41, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your image edits[edit]

Hello. Please do not remove maintenance templates from image pages, as you did here. If you believe that a free replacement image cannot be reasonably found or created for this image, please add the following template to the page, without removing the di-replaceable fair use tag:

Also, please see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free for guidance on how to add a copyright tag for an image. Thank you. --Muchness 22:29, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Makita.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Makita.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:20, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Seto.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Seto.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Images of living people[edit]

Unless you took the photo of the person yourself, it cannot be used at all on Wikipedia. Do not upload the photo of Koji Seto at the press conference for Kiva, again.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:44, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Picture is no Photo, it´s a screencap was therefore okay to be used. --Vanilla Ichigo (talk) 17:34, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No fair use images of living people ever; screencap or photo or anything.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:28, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, that biography is extremely extensive for an individual who is only 20 years old.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:29, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
