Hi, Your comment about infinitesimals, complex numbers, and quantum mechanics are interesting, and I can offer further insight, though I am a little busy right now. I just wanted to point out that your point of view may be at variance with that of, for instance, H. Jerome Keisler as expressed in his published textbook Elementary calculus.
