Census data edits[edit]

Hello. I'm a little confused by your edit to the Ashe County article, as well similar edits to other articles. The table linked to by the article seems to match the old numbers, not your updated numbers. Could you explain how you got your data? If it's on a different census table then please provide the link. Thanks. Jak86 (talk)(contribs) 06:44, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The issue with the new numbers is they count Hispanic as a race and the old numbers don’t so to the average person who doesn’t know the census bureau’s racial categories it would look like the white and black population has fallen but in reality the original editors just used a different category for white and black the numbers aren’t inaccurate but it’s extremely misleading because Hispanic isn’t a race it’s just anyone from a Spanish speaking country regardless of race or ethnicity Urmom311 (talk) 13:28, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And here is my source for the numbers https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/ashecountynorthcarolina Urmom311 (talk) 13:30, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
