Prizes for first, second, third and fourth will be awarded, as will prizes for all those who reached the final eight. Every participant who scored in the competition will receive a ribbon of participation. In addition to the prizes based on placement, the following special prizes will be awarded based on high performance in particular areas of content creation. So that the finalists do not have an undue advantage, the prize is awarded to the competitor who scored the highest in any particular field in a single round.

Awards will be handed out in the coming days; please bear with us! This year's competition also saw fantastic contributions in all rounds, from newer Wikipedians contributing their first good or featured articles, right up to highly experienced Wikipedians chasing high scores and contributing to topics outside of their usual comfort zones. It would be impossible to name all of the participants who have achieved things to be proud of, but well done to all of you, and thanks! Wikipedia has certainly benefited from the work of this year's WikiCup participants.

Next year's WikiCup will begin in January. Currently, discussions and polls are open, and all contributions are welcome. You can also sign up for next year's competition. There will be no further newsletters this year, although brief notes may be sent out in December to remind everyone about the upcoming competition. It's been a pleasure to work with you all, and we hope to see you all in January! J Milburn (talkemail) and The ed17 (talkemail) 00:10, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

"Diamonds"

Hi, US Billboard Hot 100 must have just updated. It showed 5 just a little bit ago!
Peace —Iknow23 (talk) 11:30, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Mmm okay.:) I knew it already that was 4, Billboard announced it yesterday, can't wait to be 1 :D ! — Tomíca(T2ME) 11:33, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Yep! Billboard announces stuff before it shows up on their charts. Messes up wikipedia, HA. —Iknow23 (talk) 11:37, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

  • Although I find this as a total surprise, I am accepting it. Tbh, it was much, but it's not like I can't forget it. You should just show again as you were in the beginning. Cheers ! — Tomíca(T2ME) 10:48, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
    • I will admit, my attitude got the best of me over the past couple of months but it wouldn't have happened if you didn't go all WP:OWN on me when I tried to make good-faith edits. But anyways lets just leave this where it is & be on good terms again. Till 10:54, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
      • I still didn't think my edits were pure OWN. But, however, as you said, just leave it and focus on collaborating in future. — Tomíca(T2ME) 10:57, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, if you would like to leave comments which concern you or would cast a vote in support or opposition based on your findings, I would much appreciate it. The list has garnered several good (and resolved) reviews, but no votes have been cast. Thanks. AARONTALK 12:27, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

"Half of Me"

LIterally nowhere on iTunes does it say that "Half of Me" was written by Adele Adkins. There are purported screenshots that credit Adkins, but those can't be considered reliable by any means. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SamZR (talkcontribs) 19:17, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Re: singlechart template and Billboard preannouncements. AGAIN

Hey, FYI...I'm sending this out to others...and put an instructional note at the top & bottom of "Diamonds" Weekly charts section but nobody will probably see it :( Any thoughts?

Hello,
Please see the discussion at WT:Record charts at section #5, singlechart. Do not report chart updates (or any other material) without a VISIBLE source in the article as this violates verifiability. If listed ONLY in edit summary is UNACCEPTABLE, since readers cannot be expected to view an entire edit summary for potential 'hidden' sources.
If you go the bottom of the discussion, you will find my 'work-around' for this issue. Enjoy.
Thank You and Happy Editing.—Iknow23 (talk) 11:01, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

RE: Unapologetic

I have posted the article at WP:RPP. BTW, would the tour section of this article make for an article of its own? As it is, it seems enough for a separate article and too extraneous for an album article, at least needing a slight trim per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Album_article_style_guide#Touring. Inquiry

Hi. Since only you, and a few others, seem to know what the hell you're doing at Unapologetic, would you like to check this diff and see if anything else disruptive was done? Mass, dubious changes were made, and I only picked out a few unexplained removals and original research, but I'm not too familiar with the rest. Dan56 (talk) 17:01, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

As I can see you did a good job. Those IP's are mad! Please maintain it as you can. I see you started the Critical reception. It's good. :) ! — Tomíca(T2ME) 17:19, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
BTW, could I get a quick comment regarding possible fancruft here? Dude's getting me vexed over how an album's been received by critics, a reoccurring motif with these kinds of articles. Dan56 (talk) 19:37, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Diamonds GAN

Please stop reverting my GA nomination with no valid reason to do so. Anyone can nominate a GA, you do not own it. Thankyou. Till 23:19, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

I don't mind if you help out in the GA process or fix issues which may get brought up. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort, of course. Till 23:24, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

I'm not seeing any policy reason at Wikipedia:Ga_nominations allowing you to revert another editor's nomination. NE Ent 23:31, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Really? So that means, any IP that didn't make any edit can come and nominate an article that some user has made 260 contributions on it? He is a significant contributor, but he has 10 times less edits than me. And btw, it's too early, there is more information coming that can be used in the article. He does that because he hates me and wants to ruin my reputation, of course I am not falling to this. Probably another ANI will resolve his problems. — Tomíca(T2ME) 23:33, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Why would something he nominated ruin your reputation? NE Ent 23:39, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Hey :) I honestly didn't even see your posts above mine, only saw now. Yeah WTF? I can't believe some people :/--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 23:40, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) "I can't believe some people" is a personal attack on Till, you do know that don't you? Very rude yourself. TBrandley 23:43, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
What he said actually? Till called me an "asshole", "pig", told me to "fuck myself" and nothing. I can't see anything vulgar in Nathan's comment. Dear Jesus. — Tomíca(T2ME) 23:51, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Bradley, your comment actually made me chuckle. Who the hell are you trying to fool? I've been here long enough to know my boundaries and certainly don't need unwarranted reminders from annoying stalkers. Tommy is 100% correct. Go speak with the plagiarizer.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 23:54, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Tomica, I understand Till has personally attacked you, but that's not an excuse, see WP:OTHERSTUFF, the personal attack is "I can't believe some people", I already said. And, Nathan, you're now personally attacking me, "annoying stalkers", ha. Your misunderstand of a personal attack, all, is making me laugh me head of. TBrandley 00:17, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Oh, don't kid yourself. I know calling you what you are isn't civil, but after the crap you pulled, I couldn't care less. Go forth with your fruitless ANI or whatever. And no. "I can't believe some people" is in no way offensive or an attack.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 00:32, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
