Naming[edit]

We were just chatting on the Wikimedia community Discord, and I mentioned in passing how I nearly called RedWarn "Tickle". I decided against it because I didn't want my new tool to be confused with (or carry the same connotations of) Twinkle. You might want to do the same. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 23:42, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tol, good question! The answer to which is the same way I usually come up with project names. I write a phrase which describes what the tool will do (in this case "Recent edits patrol and warning tool" and chose bits from it (Recent edits patrol and Warning tool). ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 19:43, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
