SMARTS software[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article SMARTS software, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. -- Y not? 15:41, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You've probably noticed that the article is now at an articles for deletion discussion. This is a bit different than the previous processes. See Wikipedia:Guide to deletion for more information.--Chaser - T 04:11, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Doctors Union[edit]

The BMA does not describe itself as the Doctors Union. Nor do other sources. There are several Doctors' Unions. NB This is not political. I was on the picket line for these strikes.Rathfelder (talk) 09:39, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is not true - the BMA website says "The British Medical Association is the professional association and registered trade union for doctors in the United Kingdom." It is the Doctor's Union. Google it!

now the BMA will no longer be lone representative of doctors in contract negotiations in England https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj.j39 Rathfelder (talk) 10:20, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

yes this is interesting. I have noted in the article that the BMA is the main but not only Doctor's Union.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Malcolm Kendrick, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. StrikerforceTalk 15:24, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Served as" vs. "was"[edit]

Hi Tjamesjones, I invite you to engage in a discussion at Talk:Calvin Coolidge#"Served as" vs. "was" to avoid further ping-pong on this choice of language. Let's see if we can develop a consensus through discussion. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 22:28, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
