Student projects[edit]

Hi there. Please inform your students that per WP:User page, drafts of their articles should ideally be placed on user subpages. Go here for instructions on how to do that. Once their articles are ready to go live, they can then move them to the main article namespace. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 15:36, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you or your students hope that their pages get left alone somehow, at least for a little while? I'm sure it goes against policy, especially Wikipedia:Ownership of articles, but if you asked nicely, with a posting on the corresponding discussion pages, some editors might give you some breathing room. Otherwise, as soon as the article shows up on radar, by having links to it from other articles for example, it will take on a life of its own, and you might have a hard time see what the student contributed. -AndrewDressel (talk) 18:27, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In any case, Electronic gear-shifting system started by your student Thatkid.iven is in DYK queue 4 scheduled to appear on the main page on February 20 or 21, depending on your time zone. -AndrewDressel (talk) 14:54, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Kir1.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Kir1.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 22:01, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
