Sam Darnold[edit]

I believe that Darnold should be considered a member of the 49ers, considering prominent and reputable sources like Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport have confirmed a one year deal. 129.222.184.129 (talk) 17:38, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you are correct it was reported from Schefter and Rapoport that he is going to be a member of the 49ers, But you did not provide a reliable source on Darnold's page and other IP's who edited that page did not do so either. Until we get an official announcement from the 49ers themselves in the coming hours, we can change it officially. Thedtruth (talk) 17:40, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, shouldn't we also not list him as a Panther considering he's an FA? 129.222.184.129 (talk) 17:42, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually yes, I will edit that. Forgot about that rule on the NFL communications website. Thedtruth (talk) 17:44, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's all cool man, also want to say I'm sorry for acting immature about this topic last night. Here's hoping we can finally set his team in stone in the next couple days! 129.222.184.129 (talk) 17:45, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem dude, other multiple IP's on here (not just you) keep editing other players pages without a reliable source and me plus a couple other fellow experienced editors have to keep re changing it back to their original team constantly and it's very irritating. Elandon Roberts[edit]

Hello! Was curious if you would rather me wait until the news of the signing is officially reported by either Roberts/his agent or the Steelers org itself before redoing the edits made on the page? Parisfink (talk) 18:39, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We wait until the team themselves confirming the signing, then we can edit the page that he is on the Steelers. Just remember to add a reliable source from the team website when the time comes. Thedtruth (talk) 18:41, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got it, sorry for the headache i may have caused, appreciate you! Parisfink (talk) 18:42, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's all good, other editors (mostly IPs) have been changing other players pages to their new teams without adding a reliable source and it gets very irritating when other experienced editors and myself have to keep constantly changing it back. Thedtruth (talk) 18:44, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
