Bali sacrifice

I made the following post on the discussion page of another editor whose name is too difficult for me to remember. I am repeating it here for you as you seem to have some interest in the subject:

History Sleuth let's stop putting the cart before the horse. Bali is a very specific form of sarifice, as is Halal to the Muslim and Kosher to Jews. If you can find any articles that refer to Bali being also a Sikh tradition, then I would be interested. Sacrifice is not necessarily interchangable with Bali, but Bali is a form of sacrifice. I think it probably will appear in time. They've already moved it to "Prep Area 2". If the prep areas funnel in order into the queue, then it should appear at 5:30 pm New Delhi time (1pm London time) on Buddha Purnima (May 17), and stay up for 6 hours. I would have suggested slightly earlier in the day, but come to think of it, that might (?) be an ideal time for people to look at it when they are done with work. Vithoba

I saw you restoring a sentence in the WP:LEAD, but that sentence probably requires a whole section to support and it needs that kind of information anyway. The reason being, recently I was reading a jjournal article about Kuppagal archeological dig in Karnataka and local people identified an atleast 20,000 year old petroglyph as a Vithoba. So this is indeed a very subaltern, indigenouse thought process that has come to the surface and co-opted by the elites and needs that kind of information in the article. Hi TheMandarin, I don't know if you are interested, but you might want to look at the Swami Kriyananda page. I am concerned with the increasingly disrespectful tone and inconsistent application of so-called WP policies there. For one, the removal of 'Swami' there from his name is a serious issue. There are few confusions—

• According to history of Khetri, after the death of Fateh Singh Bahadur in 1870 Ajit Singh became the eighth king of Khetri or Shekhaway dynasty of Rajasthan. But, he was born in 1861. So, at that time he was only 9 years old. Am I missing something?
• The same document says Rani Champawatiji Sahiba, queen of Raja Ajit Singh died on 16 May 1904 (1908) What is this 1904 (1908)? Does it mean she died in 1904 and cremated in 1908 (but 4 years too long for cremation)! --Tito Dutta (contact) 23:58, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
