Hi mate, I suggest you take a look at WikiProject AFL if you love your footy, and also Category:Fremantle Dockers players. Drop us a line with any questions mate. Cheers, Rogerthat Talk 01:35, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Doig Medal

To edit the box, you gotta check what template it is. The George Doig Medal is shown on the {{bestandfairest}}, click there to edit. I also moved "George Doig Medal" to "Doig Medal".

As for the Teal Cup, no article exists on it yet so for some reason it's been redirected to TAC Cup.

Let us know if you have any more questions. Cheers mate, Rogerthat Talk 10:36, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

Fremantle FC

Just letting you know you're doing a good job, you clearly know what you're doing mate. What are your thoughts on the Category:Fremantle Football Club, and what articles should we include? Rogerthat Talk 02:24, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject NBL

Hey The-Pope/Archive 1

I am wondering if you would like to join WikiProject NBL. I believe that this is something that you might be able to help me with, by creating user boxes and player boxes for it or even adding articles about Players

Cheers

AFL season article naming convention

As a participant of WikiProject AFL I thought you might be interested in this. I have started a vote to get a consensus on the naming convention for AFL season articles. You can participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject AFL#AFL season article naming convention. Cheers. Remy B 13:24, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Thankyou

Thanks for rewriting Australian Football League#National Expansion. I was meaning to write a message on the talk page to invite people to rewrite it & make it look right, but I didn't get round to it. Again, Thanks! Jorcoga 05:37, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Good work

Just wanted to say, good work on the Freo players. The articles are good quality too. We've nearly finished all the current players. Sambo2612 12:00, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Mark Williams

Hey Pope. I just noticed an edit you made to the history of the AFL concerning Mark Williams after the 2004 Grand Final. You've removed information about how animated he was after the Grand Final, stating that all coaches get animated after the game. I felt that Mark Williams actions after the game were completely out of the ordinary of what any other coach would do and quite noteworthy to the article. I would like to get your thoughts on this. Reply on my talk page. Normy132 01:42, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, okay. You've made your point. It doesn't belong in there. Normy132 02:20, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

New article

Hey The-Pope/Archive 1, noticed that you shared your thoughts about the Australian Football League article. I have made Australian Football League/New article so we can rewrite it. Cheers, Jasrocks 09:29, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Quiz

Mr Pope - I know that you are excited about Freo making and improbable finals appearance this season - but will you please add a new question to the AFL quiz!! (I was only joking about ex-communcating everyone west of Broken Hill from participating) πίππύ δ'Ω∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 12:07, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

By the way - there's someone called The Pope in my footy tipping competition - it's not you is it? - they're coming in at around no. 36 (out of a couple of hundred) - if it is you, I'm not far away, you'll work me out easily from by nick name. πίππύ δ'Ω∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 05:25, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Pope - it's time you got over your disappointment and put up another question! πίππύ δ'Ω∑ - (waarom? jus'b'coz!) 06:42, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for that - it needed it! SatuSuro 07:52, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Freo jumpers

I didn't delete the actual images, someone else did that. I agree they would be a useful inclusion, but the naming of ths sponsors in the article text breaches Wikipedia policy. Grant65 | Talk 02:31, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Which policy? I've searched and found that the "reverse" of this section, "teams sponsored by Nike" etc have been deleted, but more because they were considered to be useless lists, rather than due to them being ads. I think the points I made about them assisting in identifying photos and, unlike most other AFL clubs we are in a position to accurately keep track of them all, having only 12 years worth. I've contacted "Mero" in the past about releasing his images, not sure if he's rmered who posted these pics that have been deleted for no copyright. Might have to take a snapshot of my jumper! The-Pope 03:05, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm...I don't think lists of sponsors on jumpers complies with Wikipedia is not a soapbox or WP:CORP. Pics would be a way of getting around that. Grant65 | Talk 04:29, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Notable football

Sorry, did not see that in your articles... If you could please make note of that, ie. "notable as first string.. etc... " Sorry about my American english... --10:55, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: They are notable according to WP:BIO...

Jack Riewoldt (footballer) & Shane Edwards may be notable, but they were deleted because they did not assert notability. Nowhere was the Richmond Football Club mentioned, so while they may be notable, there was no claim of it. It's as if someone created the article for Pelé and just said "he is an awesome football player." As for commenting on his userpage by accident... I have no excuse on that one. My bad. Happy editing! --Daniel Olsen 02:34, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
