Re: Famitsu

Well, foreign-language sources aren't prima facie unreliable (Famitsu certainly is reliable, as one of the most well-known Japanese gaming magazines); you just have to be careful with them because of translation issues, and we prefer English-language sources of equal reliability. That said, I do think the Shadow the Hedgehog article is fine without it, now that you've included a number of print reviews, including Nintendo Power. I'll read over the article fully again in a few days and comment on the FAC. Good luck. —TKD [talk][c] 00:52, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Mew

Figured I'd poke at it, and looking it over we might ditch the glitch commentary and focus on how it was obtainable in the games. Reason I'm suggesting this is because unlike MissingNo., there's really no player's guide or other citable source that discusses that that I know of :\--Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:10, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Player's Guides made no mention of it that I know of. Nintendo Power didn't seem to either, at least don't recall ever seeing it. Gotta remember at that time they were still owned by Nintendo, and Nintendo was (and is) still very adamant that Mew can't be gotten in game AFAIK.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 00:16, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

I think you nominated it a little too soon

These types of edits are not appropriate to the guildliness of Wikipedia[1], it has been reverted. Wikipedia is very against genre changes and are usually indentified as vandalism. Accordingly people's theories or opinions upon genres CAN NOT be used! You'l need a source and to discuss it on the talk page for any sort of genre change you may want to make on any music based article. — GunMetal Angel 21:19, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I either fixed or responded to almost all the issues you brought up on the peer review, the rest I will soon. I also asked a question. When you have time, reply to my replies and the question, and if you haven't already, watchlist the peer review. Tezero (talk) 19:01, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

I've finished writing and citing the article. I'm going to add it to the backlog at WP:GAN but it'll take a while to get to the top. In the meantime, could you have a look and give it a once over? -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 23:50, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

What do you think stands between Tragic Kingdom and Featured Article status? I'm going to verify all the references, which should be mindnumbingly dull, considering that there are 54 of them (ignoring ones that are not web-based and that you added). Could you have a look over the prose? Should we send it to peer review? I don't want a third failed FAC, but third time lucky? -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 23:03, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I've asked User:Jeffq to copy edit, as I saw his name at the Guild of Copy Editors. -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 16:56, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm away on Wikibreak for three weeks from this Sunday. The chances of it being reviewed before I get back are low but if Boom Box (album) is put on hold, would you do the necessary corrections? If you have fixed the references (which shouldn't be difficult, despite the new Billboard site being impossible to navigate), we can FAC Tragic Kingdom again.
Out of interest, what will you do after all the No Doubt stuff is finished? Do you want to work together again? I need to get Gwen Stefani discography back up to FL status, then I have another project. -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 13:15, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (File:LegoStarWarsIIStormtroopers.JPG)

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:LegoStarWarsIIStormtroopers.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Since you helped out at the "North by North Quahog" FAC, I, once again, ask for your help. re: Nintendo Power

Hey, Tezero. I looked through those three issues and two of them have previews of Sonic Rush. If you want, I can get you scans within the next few days, but if development information on Blaze the Cat is all you're after, you're out of luck. She's only briefly mentioned once in each article:

-from NP#194 (Aug 05) "An all-new story pairs Sonic with Blaze the Cat (not to be confused with the morbidly obese Big the Cat), a queen from a parallel universe and protector of the Sol Emeralds. Both characters are playable, with separate adventures that intertwine."
-from NP#195 (Sep 05) "The second playable character, Blaze the Cat, remains shrouded in mystery, though we do know that players will be able to pit the two protagonists against each other in a multiplayer battle mode."

Let me know if you still want those scans. Cheers. -sesuPRIME 07:28, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

The article Lego Star Wars (video game series) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Simple checklist of characters with no pertinent encyclopedic information.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:30, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Nintendo task force membership update

Hello,

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do every 3-4 months (though it's been actually 6 months since the last one) to keep our membership up-to-date.

All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on 1 April 2010, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles.
