Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. Jokes on a userpage[edit]

Hi, Terrence. Yes, jokes on a userpage are completely appropriate, but guidelines do still apply. For more information, I highly recommend reading Wikipedia's guidelines for user pages. Probably the biggest thing to remember is that the userpages are associated with you--they don't, per se, belong to us as users. Hope that helps!
