Thank you for your contributions to this encyclopedia using 21st century technology. I hope you don't get any unnecessary blisters.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at New Girl shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. CC of response at User talk:AussieLegend:
3RR does not apply in cases of vandalism. Contrary to your assertion, the RfC absolutely said reliable sourcing is required for runtime.
Here are the exact words by the closing admin: "The point at issue was, narrowly, are we allowed to use running time figures measured by individual editors directly. The answer is an unambiguous "no"< for the same reason that we would not allow such sources for the height of an actor or the size of a building. --Guy (Help!) 18:14, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And I will take this to any 3RR claim, so I imagine WP:BOOMERANG may be a concern. --Tenebrae (talk) 15:55, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Per Wikipedia:Vandalism#Boldly editing, Bold edits, though they may precede consensus or be inconsistent with prior consensus, are not vandalism unless other aspects of the edits identify them as vandalism. The RfC did not close with a consensus and RfCs are not binding. Therefore, your edits were not reversion of vandalism. --AussieLegend () 18:53, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, your edits are vandalism since they deliberately defy WP:NOR, one of the cornerstones of Wikipedia. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:07, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Original research is not vandalism. I suggest you actually read WP:VAND. --AussieLegend () 19:48, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Reinserting OR over and over when told you're violating a core Wikipedia policy is absolutely vandalism. So are deliberately disruptive edits. The fact no admin agrees with you at your ill-advised 3RR claim about me (below) should indicate that my reversion of your such edits was not edit-warring.--Tenebrae (talk)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. For anyone interested, not only was there no determination of edit-warring at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Tenebrae reported by User:AussieLegend, but the closing admin of the RfC issue in question even chastised this contentious other editor for his actions. John B. Poindexter found Antonin Scalia's body per nytimes. Article states clearly that Judge Cinderela Guevara "did not see the body". 74.88.32.47 (talk) 02:30, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here is what the passage that I removed said: "According to John B. Poindexter, Scalia died in his sleep from natural causes." John B. Poindexter is not a doctor or a medical examiner and cannot state a cause of death. --Tenebrae (talk) 04:11, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I removed solely the one mention noted above. What other editors may have done, I couldn't say. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:55, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
John B. Poindexter was only mentioned once, upfront, as the owner of Cibolo Creek Ranch where US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was last seen alive. Please indicate why you deleted the 1 mention. 74.88.32.47 (talk) 23:14, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
For the millionth time, because it claimed that this businessman and ranch-owner had somehow declared a cause of death, which he cannot do. He's not a doctor. He's not a medical examiner. He's not the judge who eventually declared a cause of death. Why are all you suspiciously similar anon IPs not getting this? --Tenebrae (talk) 23:18, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Who did declare a cause of death for Antonin Scalia? Per Gawker (& Slate), Guevara went from unspecified “natural causes” to heart attack (or “myocardial infarction”) before reverting back to “natural causes” again—not a heart attack. One point everyone can agree on is that Cinderela Guevara herself never saw the body. Is Poindexter qualified to declare a cause of death? As you point out, of course he isn't. And yet reports are that no one on scene at his ranch at the time was qualified to do so, which is quite notable.. Optim.usprime (talk) 23:48, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, under Texas law it's not notable. That's why Texas law allows you to do it over the phone. Enough with the conspiracy theories. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:55, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Superman[edit]

Hi, I noticed BaronBifford removed a large part of the Publication section in the Superman article. I was wondering if he had consensus to do so or if it was just part of many other random edits he made on his own. That section, as you may recall, had a cover of Action Comics #1 vol. 2 showing the new look of the comic juxtaposed with the original one from 1938. I think it should be restored but seeing the laundry list of edits made by BaronBifford, I wasn't sure if a consensus was reached to removed the ladder half of the Publication section. Max Gaines[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

I would like your advice about the year of birth of Max Gaines. It is written 1894 with a source from the NY Times, but we can't read this source. I retrieved this source that I'll give you a link. It is said on the source from August 20, 1947 that he is 56 years old. With calculs, that gives me he was born between August 21, 1890 and August 20, 1891, not 1894. Thank you to have read me. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9C02E3D81631E13BBC4951DFBE66838C659EDE --Danielvis08 (talk) 22:59, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again,

Sorry for my english, I'm speaking more in french. I made a research on Max Gaines who take me about 4 hours. JACKPOT. The NY Times is false. I have a true proof that Gaines is born between April 1894 and April 1895 --> The U.S.Census of 1940. You can enlarge and deplace the document. You will see on the Census from April 1st 1940 who have been rediged on April 7, 1940 that at this time Max C. Gaines was 45 yers old. On the Census you can also see he is Publisher of books, he was born in New York, his wife Jessie K. was 43, his son William, 18 and daughter Elaine, 12. Here is the famous Census jewel. It's a great find I think, this document. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KQLG-7BQ Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 18:01, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Captain America image[edit]

Hey buddy. I just wanted to get your opinion about something. I see that you uploaded File:CaptainAmerica109.jpg. Honestly, I never really liked that image. We already have much better examples of Kirby's work already in the article. There's nothing specifically wrong with it, it just a personal taste. I was thinking we could use this image instead but since you uploaded the existing image I wanted to get your opinion instead of just replacing it. If you don't want to change it, no worries. Its been there since 2011, so I think most people must be okay with it.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:29, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You're right its not full body but to be fair most of the detail in Cap's uniform is in his upper half except for maybe his cavalier boots. The trade off is that Ross gives more detail to elements that are shown particularly in the scales and its not like there aren't any other images to fill in the gaps. Also I think the low angle shot and pose gives the image some gravitas and better captures Cap's persona. Yes the 'A' is washed out a bit but its not like you can't make it out. Again, this is just a matter of personal taste and I completely understand if you disagree.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mariah Carey[edit]

Hi,

Just to let you kwow what the NY TIMES says she was born March 27, 1970 http://www.nytimes.com/movies/person/10883/Mariah-Carey/biography --Danielvis08 (talk) 22:35, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If the NY Times article says she was named after the song "And They Call the Wind Maria" from the movie Paint Your Wagon (1969) and the movie Paint Your Wagon was released on October 15, 69, she can't be born March 27, 1969. -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paint_Your_Wagon_%28film%29 In the wiki article on "early life" they cite the wrong Paint Your Wagon 1951 movie. It's this Paint Your Wagon 1969 that the NY Times cite. Me I think that his parents saw this movie in theater and when she was born they called her Mariah. I left a note on the Talk Page of Mariah also. "Columbo". --Danielvis08 (talk) 22:41, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And when I am here, I checked the two 1969 sources cited. This one is not valid since they say she was 41 and there is a photo that they cite from April 30, 2011 http://www.cbsnews.com/news/mariah-carey-im-pregnant/ then she was born March 27, 1970. I know this is copyr. 2010 but if they cite April 11, 2011 also it's strange. And the other one from Newsday they cite she is 44 in 2013 but they can had taken this info from the CBS article or made a false calculation. What did you think of my deductions. --Danielvis08 (talk) 01:47, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe I'm not crazy about 1970. The birth certificate of his infant twin Monroe in L.A. where it's written she was born March 27, 1970 and you can see Mariah's signature that certifies. Please read the document and you can enlarge it by clicking on it to see better. I can't convince you no more than this... http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/22200000/Mariah-s-Twins-Birth-Certificates-mariah-careys-lambs-22216351-605-792.jpg Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 06:38, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, D. The alleged birth certificates that have appeared online were addressed in the archives at Talk:Mariah Carey. Please see, for example, the post signed "Hoary 01:20, 22 January 2014". Hoax documents have been known to circulate on the Internet, and these particular ones aren't posted on any official County of Los Angeles site so the question arises: Where did they come from? Who outside the family could have obtained the children's birth certificates and scanned them? And if it was the family, why didn't the family post and announce it, rather than have them mysteriously "show up" at a couple of minor sites — and not a mainstream publication that would have vetted them? A non-vetted, alleged primary source anonymously posted to a fan site is not RS in any way. --Tenebrae (talk) 13:36, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, I found another source who say that Carey was born in ...1969 -> The International Who's Who, from London, U.K. on goole books you can see that -> https://books.google.ca/books?id=sR4Ch1dMe8IC&pg=PA275&dq=who%27s+who+in+america+mariah+carey+1969&hl=fr&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiaiK-IxJ7MAhXonIMKHVLGCukQ6AEIHDAA#v=onepage&q=who%27s%20who%20in%20america%20mariah%20carey%201969&f=false Friendly. --Danielvis08 (talk) 01:18, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stella Stevens birthyear[edit]

Hi

For Stella Stevens birthyear all the sites says October 1, 1938, but english wiki says 1936. The source from wiki says she was 3 in the U.S.Census 1940 but we can't have access. But by familysearch we got access to the U.S.Census 1940 and it gives she was 1...I think someone has made a crafty vandalism and she was really born October 1, 1938... https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VB3G-541 --Danielvis08 (talk) 19:17, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Magazine Management: FILM International[edit]

Sorry but referring to this mag as a publication about "X-rated movies" is incomplete and misleading. See for yourself http://www.moviemags.com/main.php?title=FILM%20INTERNATIONAL%201975&etos=% It is not explicit, there are articles about such mainstream actors as Robert Redford, and covers feature softcore or mainstream actresses like Sylvia Kristel and Valerie Perrine. Here they have an article scan saying that the magazine release party was attended by Hollywood luminaries like King Vidor, Robert Wise, George Pal... Would these people really get involved with a mag simply "about X-rated movies"? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3208680 — Preceding unsigned comment added by SD3107E (talkcontribs) 03:37, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hi,

Thank you for Stella Stevens. I corrected also Sprague Cleghorn from the sources from the Newspapers from Montreal and Ottawa and for H. G. Peter I made a research on google and I found no source that say that he died January 1, 1958. All say only in 1958. The only source that I found that gives a precise death date is this french source and it gives December 1, 1958. http://www.bedetheque.com/auteur-35679-BD-Peter-Harry-George.html So I just corrected and put the year 1958 only. For Mariah Carey, I understand now that you must put the two years since she can be lying. And if you are aware about birth or death dates or years that you are not sure about someone, you can let me a message on my talk page and give me the names of the persons and I will try to make a research to help you and wiki. Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 15:54, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Howard University[edit]

Your supposition is correct; the first African-American president of Howard University was Mordecai Wyatt Johnson, appointed in 1926. I am not sure that he is the first African American to serve as president of an independent college or university. The Wikipedia article for M. Lee Pelton makes the unsourced claim for him as the first—in the lede and further down. — Neonorange (talk) 04:52, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to send you a belated thanks for your revert at Dorothy Woolfolk. When adding information from reliable sources, I often run across interesting stuff that I'm not sure belongs in an article or not. Emotions?[edit]

I deal in emotions and not facts? I think I have good reasons to hate those lines and have tried arguing them with you. While Wikipedia's rules regarding notability include press coverage as a criteria for inclusion, they do not mandate mentioning the press coverage itself. And here mentioning press coverage does not provide any insight to the character of Superman. BaronBifford (talk) 07:12, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

J. Schaul[edit]

Dear Tenebrae: This J. Schaul. I noticed a tag was placed on my page today. I have made a number of edits to the article over time, but I think it is an objective and neutral account. I'd really like to prevent it from being deleted. Is it possible to just put a block on it or block me from it. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.Jpop73 (talk) 00:41, 7 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

J.Schaul[edit]

Dear Tenebrae, Thank you again for your advice. I'm concerned because the proposed deletion discussion has not taken any particular new direction, but editors keep adding the discussion to article deletion pages related to different topics. My sense is that some of these editors are trying very hard to get my page deleted or is this just part of the process of review? For instance, they have copied the general deletion discussion to academic deletion and Ohio deletion pages. I hold advanced degrees, but have never claimed to be an academic researcher. I'm a practitioner, and always have been as a curator who was appointed courtesy faculty and research positions. I also don't live in Ohio. I think of myself as a zoologist and nature writer who has worked as an animal trainer both independently and for facilities. Should my article reflect that more? As a journalist, I do a lot more writing in publications than I have articles written about me and that seems to be the nature of the journalis profession. I've been told on multiple occassions that I meet the notability requirements for a Wikipedia article, so I feel that I'm being a bit unfairly treated. Am I being unreasonable. Dear Tenebrae, I commented in the discussion of the deletion page and tonight someone added the following: "Delete as still nothing to suggest any solid independent notability. SwisterTwister talk 05:11, 12 April 2016 (UTC)" I'm not sure I understand what solid independent notability means. In addition, I noticed that the first attempt to delete the article was unsuccessful and that was before new references were added. I kind of feel like this is punitive and not really policy based. Is there anything that can be done to address this? ThanksJpop73 (talk) 05:27, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ed Bassmaster[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

I made some research on Ed Bassmaster. His real name is Edwin Rodriguez and not Edwin Martin Barry II, it's an invention from an IP some months ago and nobody noticed it by putting a social number with a name then made another edit and making a comment that he forgot the "II" then erased the social number. And I saw you reverted another IP who put a social number on the birth name. But he really comes from Philly -> http://www.philly.com/philly/entertainment/television/Notorious-Philly-prankster-Ed-Bassmasters-CMT-show-gets-release-date.html I read the article and now I know he make pranks on Youtube and maybe the two differents IP's vandals are only one...HIM! Captain America: Civil War[edit]

Hey Tenebrae. Don't know if you've had the chance yet to see Captain America: Civil War early (as I remember you've had the ability to on other films before), but if you did, would you find keeping an eye on the article for the next couple of weeks? The film is premiering tonight, and myself and some of the other regular editors are going to be avoiding the page then or really soon to avoid spoilers and such, so it'd be great to have an editor such as yourself keeping watch of it until some of us return. Thanks! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:34, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Superman[edit]

Well, I've gone back to my Sandbox to tweak your version of the FCB. I want to rewrite parts of it in language that is accessible to people who are not comic nerds, which is something I don't think you're good at. Talk of parallel Earths and such are likely to confuse laymen. Is your mother into comic books? Imagine you're writing this for your mother. BaronBifford (talk) 20:36, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Joker[edit]

Hi Tenebrae, I wanted your input on something if you have the time. The Joker (comics) article is, IMO, at its peak. It's detailed, thoroughly sourced, linked and imaged. It's taken years and years but I think it's pretty much as perfect as it can be given the available resources. I nominated it for FAC probably over a year ago, a lot of months at least and it got derailed by a user who claimed that it shouldn't be about the comic character but the character in general.

It was insanely frustrating because I look at it and it covers ALL aspects of the character: it focuses on the comics which I consider the source material and the original material, it mentions, animation, comics and games where relevant throughout, with links to the major articles covering these subjects such as Joker in other media. This wasn't good enough and ultimately the FAC failed and it's really disheartened me since. I'd like to work on other comic characters and improve them but I don't see the point if the apparent apex of comic articles (basing Joker off of other featured comic character articles) is no longer accurate, then I'm just wasting my time.

Can I ask your thoughts on the subject, because I'd really like to finally elevate Joker so I can move on after all these years to other characters, and I really do not know what to do with it anymore. The coverage is broad, fairly detailed, and it's not good enough. And I know if I nominate it again, the same user will derail it with the same unassailable criticisms asking the article to be something it is not, and it will fail and I'll have wasted my time again. John Carter RFC[edit]

Hi Tenebrae, I have become slightly frustrated at these film budget discussions going in circles so I thought it might be useful to focus on a specific example as a sort of "litmus test". I am slightly concerned at the number of editors who are looking at "interpretation" based solutions rather than source based solutions too, so I am hoping a real tangible example might move the debate away from OR viewpoints. With that in mind I have picked out John Carter (film) to run an RFC on since there are quite a few possible permutations for the budget and the RFC is at Talk:John_Carter_(film)#RfC:_Which_figure_should_go_in_the_budget_field_in_the_infobox.3F. If we get a concrete outcome then it may guide us in similar cases. While our positions are close they are not identical, so should you wish to engage in yet another budget discussion then feel free to append other options to the proposal. I did post a notification at the Film project but I am giving you the heads up just in case you didn't notice. I am still hoping we can find a format that satisfies everyone, but if we can't the will of the community will hopefully prevail and put the debate to bed. Don Groves Forbes Contributor Issue[edit]

What's up bestie? I wanted to clarify this source. On the RS noticeboard for this source, User:MjolnirPants said: "You [referring to @Protonk], Only in death and I have all agreed that the reliability of the writer is what we should be judging this usage of this source on. Also, both you and I seem to be in agreement that this writer is reliable for this claim." And, please correct me if I am wrong, but you also noted elsewhere that Groves was RS, given his credentials. So, if true, we all agree that he can be used in relation to entertainment stories. What I think you are objecting to is how the source is cited, correct? If so, I am completely fine with listing him as a contributor or whatever other manner which you feel is appropriate. My problem, and forgive my ignorance, is that I don't know how to edit the source. I did try editing the sources section after I had made a change, but it wouldn't let me. How does one list any information about the cite other than listing the link? Depauldem (talk) 19:51, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anne Jackson[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

Someone had the "bright" idea to change the year of birth of Anne Jackson from 1925 to 1926 by citing IMDB, something that my friend Tenebrae does not like. All the sources said she died at 90 and here is an article from the NY Times who cite she was born Sept 3, 1925 http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/14/theater/anne-jackson-dies.html Your friend. --Danielvis08 (talk) 00:24, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, when I read your message I knew that if I search through familysearch I would find she was born in september 1925. On the U.S.Census 1930 [1] and U.S.Census 1940 [2] she was 4 and 14 years old respectively, it means she was born between April 1925 and April 1926. If she is born in September, it only means what I think, she was born in September 1925. Note the difference of age and of the birthplace of his father in the two Census. In the 1930 he was born in Yugoslavia and in 1940 he was born in Austria. He lied on one of the two Census. Oh, by the way the real middle name of Anna Jackson is it "Jane" or "June", because on the article the two are there ? Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 22:19, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And I just found another "BIG HOLLYWOOD NAME" who shaves a year (like you said), none other than Barbara Stanwyck. She was supposed to be born July 16, 1907. Or the U.S.Census of 1910, enumerated April 21, 1910, say that she is 3 years old -> [3], SEE ! If she is 3 years old on April 21, 1910, it means she was born BEFORE April 21, 1907 implies she can't be born July 16, 1907, she would has 2 years old on the Census. It means she was probably really born July 16, 1906. Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 02:52, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I just had an idea that someone should made an article (wiki page) about enumerating the celebrities that may possibly have shave a year and we can put their "official" birthdate" and the "probably real" birthdate by putting in the second one the sources from the Census 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940,...since we have the Census for real good sources, no one could say wikipedia made false accusations without proof. And I found a lot of stars who shave a year or two, but did you remark that we never see actresses that is the contrary, that she "older" themselves a year or two... --Danielvis08 (talk) 03:07, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gene Gutowski[edit]

Hi again,

Gene Gutowski has died yesterday at the age of 90...go on google and see for yourself in the articles from Associated Press, The Times, ABC etc... and all these serious sources say that he was born July 26, 1925. But probably because of the "great IMDB" who say that he was born May 7, 1925, all the wikis had a date of birth of May 7, 1925 and that he died at the age of 91. Me I corrected it on french wiki about an hour ago but on en:wiki at this moment 3 contibutors have "contributed" and the first one who have noted the death with a ref from Ass. Press seem to be blind. I could correct it myself, the source is already there, but I want to enjoy myself by watching how many others will contribute in this article before and if someone will see and correct this or if IMDB will see it and correct it on his site also. In some hours if no one has corrected it, I'll correct it on en:wiki...please don't correct it if you read this message. It's just that you had the real thing by saying IMDB is not a good source. Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 11:50, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Emily Carmichael, Colin Trevorrow, Simon Kinberg[edit]

Sorry. I'm a very occasional wikipedia user and am confused about your designation of a recently announced Amblin project as WP: CYSTAL and promotional until production starts. On Trevorrow's page there's information that he is writing and producing the Jurassic World sequel (another Amblin project) which is not yet in production and news that he is directing Star Wars Episode IX also not in production. On Kinberg's page there is news that he is producing Murder on the Orient Express, Logan's Run, and a live-action film of Magic the Gathering all not in production. Why are these future projects by Trevorrow and Kinberg that are not yet in production not also WP:CYSTAL but their producing of the Emily Carmichael project are? They are all announced future projects with major studios. I could understand the WP:LEAD but not its deletion entirely from all three pages when there are other examples of projects in similar stages that remain. Thank you. Thanks[edit]

That all makes sense. Thanks for clarifying for me. There seems to be a prejudice for propertied projects, films not yet in production but based on books, TV, comics, etc., which seems unfair since as you said they face the possibility of never getting made just like original projects. But I take your point that, if there's a standard, evidence of it not being applied evenly or fairly is no reason to let the standard die. I am a big fan of hers but I assumed as long as I was citing reputable sources there wouldn't be a problem with me being a kind of single issue user. But I can see how surmising intent is necessary to keep the place from being overrun by fans, etc. who pop in to edit on someone they enjoy and then disappear without having a sense of the culture at large of wikipedia. I appreciate you taking the time to walk me through you're thinking. FilmCriticAlpha FilmCriticAlpha (talk) 15:35, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed[edit]

Hey there,

I recently got a promotion at work, which is great, but I edit almost exclusively from my work station. While I settle into my new role (and find out how much it'll bother my new boss), I'm going to be taking a break from editing starting next monday. Normally I'd just do this quietly, but I recently proposed Rachel Rising and Alex + Ada for GA status. Would you mind to add them to your watchlist in case they get reviewed while I'm away? They're a bit outside of your normal focus, but I think we have similar editing styles and would appreciate you looking after them. Thanks! Argento Surfer (talk) 12:42, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re your reversion of a Reflinks edit: I am not seeing what the problem is with this so am wondering what your reason is. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 16:36, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Shearonink: Hi. As mentioned to the admin who protected the page — twice — the user is inserting a non-consensus GCD format that is at odds with the style widely in use throughout two to three hundred articles at least in WikiProject Comics. This particular edit also creates two different GCD formats within the same article. Thirdly, the anon IP is guilty of edit-warring and refusing to discuss his edits. Fourthly, he's been making these edits via multiple sock-puppet accounts. I appreciate your asking, and am wondering if you are related to any of these edits? --Tenebrae (talk) 16:42, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me? "am wondering if you are related to any of these edits?" I was puzzled, you know...puzzled. That's why I asked you about it here. On your talk page. It seemed to me that this edit was adding a complete reference, of the type usually preferred within Wikipedia cites (to prevent cite rot, to help with verifiability etc) instead of the reference-style previously present.
I would suggest that this WP:WikiProject Comics/GCD reference style be clearly codified as part of the WP MOS guidelines so it can be referred to by new editors or by editors not participating in the WikiProject. That way if an editor somehow not familiar with the Comics WikiProject's preferred GCD referencing - which after all, is a majority of WP editors - comes across a Comics article they will know at that article (perhaps by an internal notice on the editing page or whatever might be appropriate) that this style is preferred and is also not against the WikiProject's WP:MOS. I did look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Comics and the GCD "section" is not delineated as such (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Comics#In-line use of dates and issue numbers). Shearonink (talk) 17:17, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Shearonink: I didn't mean to offend you; I only asked since usually the editor who is making the edits would be the one engaging in discussion about the edits. My apology.
That's a very good idea, codifying the de facto consensus so that the MOS reflects what already exists in however-many hundred articles. I'll bring that up at the MOS page. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:23, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually WP:CMOS#ISH already does show the consensus GCD-citation style, under "References" in that section: (Looney Tunes #97 (DC, 1994 Series) at the Grand Comics Database). I guess we could make it clearer. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:25, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I like to learn the why around WP, so when I see things I don't quite understand I usually ask. Apology accepted.
That #ISH is the referencing section I already mentioned above in my previous post. The problem is that it shows the style but it is not clearly delineated by mentioning GCD or Grand Comics Database within the section title. I think that it would help the Project if Comics articles could include that information at the article in some sort of notice or template, even at the talk page etc...something. This style does not seem to look like any other accepted referencing style on the encyclopedia, but since it is accepted and part of the MOS then the references need to be protected by a notice. There are lots of casual editors who might wander into a Comics article and innocently change things, thinking they are helping. Shearonink (talk) 17:43, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Shearonink: Indeed, we're in complete agreement. There's already a heated RfC going on about an unrelated aspect of WikiProject MOS, so I'm wary of making or even suggesting any edit to the MOS until that RfC is resolved; it's been going for more than five weeks and a request for closure has been put in, so I'm hoping it ends soon. It's all about quote marks vs. italics, and some of the discussion has resembled a WWE match. I'm exaggerating for comic effect, but when quote marks vs. italics creates rancorous controversy, you can see why one would want to wait until that's done with. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:48, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

André the Giant[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

Remember me ? I would like to give you two little secrets about André the Giant. First one, he is not born in Grenoble like wiki says, no no, but in Coulommiers, Seine-et-Marne. Second, he has not gone to a better world January 27, 1993...but the day after, January 28. I can even tell you he passed away on January 28, 1993 at 6:20 p.m. in Paris. Sure. I will give you a link so you can view his death certificate. It's about in the half-bottom of the page. It's written in French but if you want I can translate it for you. Just to say that "jeudi vingt-huit janvier mil neuf cent quatre vingt treize..." means "thursday twenty-eight january one thousand nine hundred ninety three...". (Forget the %?"@² WWF and after WWE who gives Grenoble as his birthplace to impress the people...). I also let a message on the French version of wiki. Them had already put Coulommiers but have done the same error to put his death as January 27.

You see Tenebrae, this site in French is dedicated to actors and actresses of international cinema. It's a friend of mine who has it, Philippe Pelletier. He lives in Paris and works for TV5 Monde. He collects birth and death certificates from all over the world. He told me he has about 25000 of them. When I told him about André The Giant, he told me that he has his death certificate also but he hasn't scanned it yet but he created the article André The Giant today and he told me when it will be scanned he will put it on his site. I corrected in wiki french many dates that were wrong because from France there are a lot of birth certificates online. But it has yet more errors to correct. Imagine in english wiki, also. He also had errors on his site (my friend Philippe) but I helped him correct a lot. And believe me or not, I think this site for birth and death dates is the most accurate on the net. He put certificates online a little bit by little bit. It's always in the section "Autres" (Others). Example: I found on BAnQ (Bibliothèque des archives nationales du Québec) the birth certificate of Norma Shearer. All the sites on the net will gives you August 10, 1902. No. It's August 11, 1902... http://www.cineartistes.com/fiche-Norma+Shearer.html Click on "autres" then click on the act itself to enlarge it. See ? I showed you an act in English so you can read it. I will see if I find another act that isn't in French that he has on his site and if english wiki is wrong, I will show you the act (certificate). Here is the birth certificate of Amparo Arozamena in Spanish. I don't understand Spanish but I can see that his birth name is Amparo Arozamena Sanchez. I don't see the name "Maria" before... I would like to tell you that I help SIHR (Society for International Hockey Research) for birthdates of players and I corrected some on their site like Art Alexandre but I corrected it also on en:wiki so it's ok and Johnny Gagnon, you see on wiki and others sites they think he is born June 8 but I saw his birth certificate and send them and they correct it for June 3 -> see Gagnon, Jean Johnny "Black Cat" ... http://www.sihrhockey.org/public_player_list.cfm?letter=g&PageNum_qPlayers=3&league_filter=all Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 19:08, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lyndon Johnson's johnson[edit]

Since you were so supportive of me on the Superman article, I wonder if you could comment on a quarrel I have at the Lyndon Johnson article. I am trying to keep there information on how Johnson liked to show off his large penis to his subordinates as a form of intimidation. This line had plenty of references in it, so I it was totally wrong for other editors to remove it. After all, well-referenced = important and relevant. Jean-Claude Wicky[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

The answers for Andre the Giant don't come by millions I can see. It's ok. I would like to attire your attention on someone who's dead since 5 days and each time I look to hope the death date will be corrected it's not. It's Jean-Claude Wicky who died "dimanche" in english it's Sunday implies July 31, 2016 and not August 2, 2016. Sorry for the french article but I didn't found one in english. And he died in Bienne. Shamim Ara[edit]

Hi my bro,

Thank you for the corrections you make on wikipedia, Tenebrae. I would like to attire your attention on Shamim Ara who died August 5, 2016 (the day before yesterday). All the newspapers who tell about her death said that she was born in 1938 and she died at 78 years old. On en:wiki it was written 1938 but a malicious IP changed that for 22nd January 1942 without sources and no one seems to have noticed that... but me. And I want also tell you when she was born in 1938. I made a research on internet and I found an article dated 2 years ago that say that Shamim Ara was born 22 March 1938 -> http://pakistanmediaupdates.com/media-govt-dont-know-actress-shamim-ara-hospital-1262.html Thanks, my friend. --Danielvis08 (talk) 21:37, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ashley Graham[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

Thanks for Shamim Ara. For Ashley Graham do you think this is a good source for his birthdate and full name -> http://24indianews.com/american-plus-size-model-ashley-graham-bikini-avatar/ (They wrote that Ashley Ann Graham was born October 30, 1987). Thanks. --Danielvis08 (talk) 11:17, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edna Purviance[edit]

Hi again Tenebrae,

Did you know where it comes the date of death of Edna Purviance the 11 january 1958. Because on the L.A. Times articles dated from Thursday the 16 January 1958, it says she died Monday implies the 13 not the 11 -> http://www.ednapurviance.org/ednalatimes.html at age 61 implies she must be born 21 october 1896. Exactly the same here with his wiki article proper source from the Montreal Gazette she died Monday at 61 -> https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1946&dat=19580116&id=9RYvAAAAIBAJ&sjid=aagFAAAAIBAJ&pg=3279,2536053 and on his death certificate also -> http://www.ednapurviance.org/ednadc.html I can understand that she may be born in 1895 and not 1896 (she can have skipped a year she too...lol) because on the U.S. Census from June 1900, she lists her aged 4 (they put 5 but on the document it's 4) and born on Oct, 1895 -> https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMBQ-Q92 but why the 11th instead of the 13th for her death ? And believe me or not, this error was on en:wiki since 18 October 2003 -> https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Edna_Purviance&diff=6088229&oldid=1583993 and was copied after on all the others languages wikis and probably IMDb also copied it from wikipedia... Thanks, my friend. --Danielvis08 (talk) 14:47, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gone Indefinitely[edit]

I am going to be gone from Wikipedia Indefinitely effective 8/16/16. I can no longer deal with OWNISH behavior that nothing is done about on articles, the double standards when it comes to sources or dead links on articles and then being told your edit warring when your doing nothing but trying to update references. I wish you all the best, I may come back but right now I'm not. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" (talk) 04:03, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tenebrae, you opened this individual good article reassessment a couple of years ago now, and I suspect you thought you were opening a community reassessment. Individual reassessments are supposed to be much like regular good article reviews, run by the person opening the assessment and judging the article against the GA criteria.

What I would like to suggest is a way forward. Right now there's a list of things that had been problems before you made a bunch of edits, so I'm assuming they have been fixed. If you could add a new assessment of the current issues with the article—you don't need to be comprehensive yet, but point out some significant problems, be it with prose or grammar, sourcing, broadness, neutrality, or whatever, with the article in terms of the GA criteria. Specific examples should be included. I can then notify a couple of the WikiProjects that the article comes under—"Actors and Filmmakers" and "The O.C." look most likely—and see whether anyone shows up to fix the issues. If no one does, then after seven days the reassessment can close and the article be delisted, but a key part of every reassessment is noting the issues and notifying active editors on the article (there aren't any in this case) and some WikiProjects.

Please let me know whether you're willing to resume this reassessment. There is always the possibility that someone will show up and start doing major editing in response the issues raised, which will require a more comprehensive list of the problems, but as the WP:GAR page makes clear, the reassessment should have as a goal to find the places the article falls short of GA status so that it can be improved to the point that it qualifies again. This happens sometimes, but not frequently; if it doesn't happen here, then the article is delisted.

Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:09, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tenebrae, just a reminder that this is still out there awaiting your attention. Hoping to hear from you in the next few days. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:41, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration[edit]

Rita Jolivet[edit]

Hello my dear friend,

I made some research in the french tables of births of Paris for the years 1883 to 1902 and found no one named Marguerite Lucile Jolivet a.k.a. Rita Jolivet who was supposed to be born in Paris in 1890. But look what I found here -> https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FDL2-5XV, and the names of his parents matches the names in the wiki article also. Did I win a no-prize, like in the Marvel's comics from the 60s if someone found a boo-boo ? I'll let you study my find (if you want) and tell me what you think. It would be fun if someone can correct it... Thanks, bro. --Danielvis08 (talk) 01:33, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ![edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

I'm happy to hear you're back. I'm more active on en:wiki, most in finding the dead persons and putting them in Deaths in 2016 page. If you see my page [4] you'll see that en:wiki isn't very perfect on birthdates. All names with a dot at right of their birthdate means that I saw their birth certificate that are online on the web from the Archives of France and Italia. I'm helping my friend to put the birth certificates on his site online, Cinéartistes. Did you know where I found Olga Capri birth certificate from Rome that she was supposedly born May 18, 1893... I found on Rome an Olga Maria Luisa Capri born on May 18, 1883. She skipped TEN years !!! Thank you. --Danielvis08 (talk) 21:44, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Toonopedia[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

I am aware of your efforts with Toonopedia and I even added to your list at least once I believe. I try to add Toonopedia articles to various articles as inline citations when possible. For example, the "Portia Prinz of the Glamazons" Toonopedia page is now cited in the Richard Howell (comics) article. There are probably a few times where I saved a Toonopedia page to WebCite myself rather than checking your list, so some have been archived more than once.

I hope your friend's surgery goes well and that you're doing well yourself. I turned the Big Five-Oh this year and while I'm fine, an older sibling and a parent have had health issues which are quite concerning. It can be rough getting older so please take care and stay strong.

(P.S.) The next time you're at a comics shop with a well-stocked back issue section, find a copy of Korak, Son of Tarzan #54 (October-November 1973) and look at the last page of the main story. We might have to rewrite a bit of comics history...

Best regards,

Jim Simon[edit]

Hi Tenebrae, huge thanks for your input/reasoning regarding your removal of my edits to the page on Jim Simon. I'm pretty new @ this editing business, and feel this animator definitely deserves to have his page fleshed out, but I definitely want to make it as legitimate and correct-to-format/cite style as it should be. I've added a few more citations/made a few edits using my sandbox, but would you be able to take a look and let me know what your thoughts are and where I'm still going wrong? One question I have is how much should we cite the same articles in a piece? All of the info I've included is in the articles I've cited elsewhere in the wiki, an all of them, it seems, are legitimate sources. Anyway - you'll find it all on my sandbox. Thanks so much! Wovenbone (talk) 19:17, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Ten - sorry for the lag in reply, busy busy couple of weeks. Yes, it helped a bit? Much appreciated. I see the quite formal and professional style there. I'd really, really like to get some of the information included in the Black Enterprise article I cited in there - that was a big impetus for me starting an article about this gentleman; I wanted to give an idea of the industry at the time as it related to black artists, and how the style of Simon's animation seems to be informed by this state as well as the location he grew up in. Hopefully this makes sense/doesn't seem too personal? In any case, the magazine and article can be found on Google Books, there's a lot of great info in there, and maybe you could help me flesh this part out? And I can learn in the process? Thank you so much, and thanks for keeping in touch/checking in. Wovenbone (talk) 20:34, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Arrival Movie's Accolades[edit]

Why you delete Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards on Arrival movie's accolades? I have the source of that award and it's for the production designer... Did you not appreciate the production designer? Or, did you only appreciate the person in the big and special awards which broadcast live on TV such as Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA, Screen Actor Guild Awards, Critic's Choice Awards, etc than small awards?

List of African-American firsts (and Dave Benton)[edit]

List of African-American firsts is on my watchlist, and I happened to see an edit to the Dave Benton entry for winning the 2001 Eurovision Contest. I am not sure that "breaking the color barrier" (the shorthand qualification, as we understand it in the U.S.) applies to winning a contest in Europe. Rather, I'm pretty sure that, since this is part of a defining requirement, and not a judgment on justice and fairness world-wide, winning a contest in Europe doesn't not qualify. I see your frequent activity here, so I think it best to ask your advice. (And thanks for your contributions!) — Neonorange (talk) 22:38, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Steno[edit]

Hello Tenebrae,

I asked myself a long time why I didn't found Stefano Vanzina alias Steno in the Birth tables of Rome in the year 1915 and Italia has put in line Births of Rome until 1916, not after yet (100 years delay from 2016)... it's simply because he was not born in 1915 but when you search better on the web you see on encyclopedias in italian like The Enciclopedia del Cinema that he was born not 19 January 1915 but 19 January 1917 -> http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/steno_(Enciclopedia-del-Cinema)/ I made the correction in the French wiki article. Thanks, my friend. --Danielvis08 (talk) 15:17, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rosie O'Donnell[edit]

Hello Tenebrae,

I'm interested why you trimmed the 2016 section for Rosie O'Donnell. It's a new period in her career; the mention of SMILF does not belong in the Oprah section, as that was five years ago and SMILF is in no way related to the Oprah content. I still think it deserves mentioning, as it made headlines and is a new period in her career, but your trimming does not seem to be placing it in the correct section. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.

Robert Vaughn[edit]

Hello Tenebrae,

I read on english wikipedia that actor Robert Vaughn died in Ridgefield, Connecticut with these 2 sources : [6] and [7], one from Ridgefield and the other from The Hollywood Reporter. In fact if you read these 2 sources you will find that in all these 2 articles they don't tell exactly where he died, and believe me, I searched to find a source that say Ridgefield and I found nothing on the web. But The Washington Post [8] and The New York Times [9] tell that he died in Danbury, Connecticut... He lived in Ridgefield, but he died in a hospice in Danbury with his family around him, no ? I've seen the movie twice now, and I really don't think this is key to the plot. The only clue is the sequence (part of her future visions) where Louise tries to explain to her daughter why her father left, and the viewer is left to assume this was because she kept her foreknowledge a secret from him. But we have no way of knowing whether they are still separated by the time her daughter dies (which appears the most likely assumption) or whether they got back together but he wasn't present at her death, or indeed he may have died in the meantime. It simply isn't material to the plot, and my firm view of our pages is that the plot summary should represent factually what actually happens in the film, and not individual viewers' personal opinions as to what might be the story 'behind the scenes'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎IanB2 (talkcontribs) 21:32, 11 December 2016

We have on the page the edit from the same user (which I have only slightly amended) that "and that Ian will leave her when he discovers her foreknowledge". I think this is sufficient to cover the point, for someone wanting a summary of the plot. User:IanB2 11 December 2016

X-Men: Apocalypse[edit]

Why did you remove my edit for this film? The film blatantly states he can not control minds hence why he tries to take Xavier's body. All he did was take over Cerebro which has been stated throughout the series to be used to increase psi powers. That is all the machine does. Even in that scene Charles notes his power increasing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.71.115.195 (talk) 04:56, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I also mentioned this on the talk page a while back. But nothing much came of it. And Singer did indeed say that the horsemen were under a special persuasion a few months before the film's release. 173.71.115.195 (talk) 07:05, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I've left a reply on the X-Men page.173.71.115.195 (talk) 14:43, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mary Carlisle[edit]

Hello my friend,

I would like to ask your advice (if and when you will have time) about the birthplace of actress Mary Carlisle who is still alive and is aged 102. The wiki article tell that her birthname is Gwendolyn L. Witter but the citation needs a reference. And it say that she was born in Boston with a ref from a newspaper. But if you read the newspaper they say she was from Boston but they don't tell explicitely she was BORN in Boston. Here is a blog (I know it's just a blog but if you read it, it seems pretty well written by someone who seems to know her since he has a photo of her very old) -> http://greatentertainersarchives.blogspot.ca/2015/12/mary-carlisle-at-101.html On this blog he say that she is born in Los Angeles on February 3, 1914 and was raised in Boston. And if you search the History page of the wiki article Mary Carlisle, on September 8, 2016, you will see there was an IP who changed Los Angeles for Boston. Me (if we suppose that this is his real name) I found his birth certificate on FamilySearch and without a doubt she was born in Los Angeles -> https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VGNQ-NTN What did you think? Thank you. --Danielvis08 (talk) 22:02, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

See on Familysearch a document from 1935 of immigration. If you look on the document you will see Mary Carlisle and his mother a line higher "Leona Carlisle" who matches "Leona" Witter for the mother name on the blog. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZQW-ZCR That's the connection. And if you see my comments on my talk page look at the page facebook of Mary Carlisle, she is still alive at 102 and on a post there is a document from MGM citing she was born in Boston in 1912 but on a comment he explains that Mary is born in 1914 but lied about her age in 1929 to have a contract dancer in Hollywood. She tell them she was born in 1912 to have the job. And we have his birth extract that she was born in L.A. --Danielvis08 (talk) 23:54, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think you have done well to put the 2 possible birthdates with no city until you are sure. I've done the same thing a long time ago about the french wikipedia article for Dorothy Malone. In french I put 30 january 1925 and 29 january 1924 with sources althought I'm sure she was born in 1924... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Malone --Danielvis08 (talk) 00:11, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Captain America Civil War Billion Dollar Mark[edit]

All I did was put a source for Captain America Civil War reaching $1 billion dollars on the page. You have no right to remove it. This is good information. You think you can find a better source? I dare you. I just wanted to see if you can do better than what I did.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.58.55 (talk) 19:49, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone reading this should note that this anon IP, after having taunted, "I dare you," only added the softening sentence after he saw I'd mentioned the taunt on his 3RR report here. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:06, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

I'm sorry for those things I said. I was trying to find a good source for this. If you think a source is a good idea, do you think you can find a good one to put on? I'm just asking. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.58.55 (talk) 01:57, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Having or not having a source isn't the issue (which it seems you are not understanding). The issue is, the content is indiscriminate info that doesn't need to be stated as it is nothing noteworthy. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:14, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you don't forgive me. I can accept it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.58.55 (talk) 03:46, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@71.81.58.55:, please note that the message you replied to was not by Tenebrae, who brought up the question, but rather by Favre1fan93. At any rate, Favre's comment is no indication of unforgivingness, just a statement that the source was not the problem. Variety is a reliable source for movie information. Reading the WP:indiscriminate article will help explain the real problem? In addition, the sentence from Variety that you used gave prominence to Disiney's business success, and that is material for an article on Disney, not CA:CW or any other Disney film. Apologizing is a good step, and no one here is rejecting it. — Phil — Neonorange (talk) 06:21, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's user who mad to me about film's accolades.[edit]

There's user who mad to me about film's accolades, I follow the rule about Wikipedia:WikiProject Film and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film like 2A01:CB19:838A:CF00:C9A6:8CF7:6BDE:16E3. You should warn him/her like 2A01:CB19:838A:CF00:C9A6:8CF7:6BDE:16E3 to follow Wikipedia:WikiProject Film and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film, I can't warn alone. He/she sends me the text like this.

About Kansas film critics,

The Kansas film critics are legitimate! They have been around since the 1960's!

They are listed on this wiki article: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_film_awards_categories

On IMBD: http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000383/

On Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/feature/2015-film-awards-and-nominations-scorecard

And multiple pages in other wiki pages in other languages!

I do not know who or why the English version for this page was removed or never made but that isn't my problem! If you have such issues with that I'd suggest you make a page in English!

I'm reverting your edit and will consider any other removal the be tampering!

I think 86.233.83.237 is the same user 2A01:CB19:838A:CF00:C9A6:8CF7:6BDE:16E3. He shouted about adding Kansas Film Critics at Talk:List of accolades received by Zootopia.

IreneTandry (talk) 03:56, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@IreneTandry: Indeed. He seems to be sock-puppeting, which is difficult to stoop with IP-hopping editos. I've removed his rant on that page, and I'm going to that IP's page now, and I'm keeping an eye on these IPs. Thanks for the head's-up. --Tenebrae (talk) 11:27, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel Studios Article[edit]

I am responding to the warning regarding my edits on the Marvel Studios article. My intention was never to have an edit-war, but to revise the previous edits I made so that there would be credibility with the point about Marvel Studios' films reflecting Marvel, which I thought was an important point to make, especially as it is what differentiates (in part), the MCU films from the licensed films. While third party companies such as Fox distribute films based on Marvel characters (with Marvel Entertainment involved in production), Marvel Studios' films are films that come directly from Marvel that Marvel Entertainment has more freedom to market with and use for franchising. My hopes were that the edit I submitted would be more acceptable than the original edit, not to cause any trouble with other editors. I apologize that this came out differently.

Zootopia edits[edit]

First off I seen what you said about me above and I don't care! Everything I've said is reasonable and I do question the intent of these edits!

Such as removal of the AFI awards from Zootopia. By you!

Do you plan to do the same at every other animated film such as Inside Out (I just checked and see it has the award listed) or another films that have these awards listed? So be honest why just this page and why now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:CB19:838A:CF00:C9A6:8CF7:6BDE:16E3 (talk) 12:17, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I want to tell you something.[edit]

American Film Institute has award too. It is similar with Cannes, Toronto, Venice and Sundance Film Festival. And it has Wikipedia article too, American Film Institute Awards 2016. American Film Institute gives Lifetime Achievement Award every year. You can see at official Youtube. Why you delete American Film Insitute Awards from Zootopia's accolades?

IreneTandry (talk) 12:34, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Tenebrae: What do you mean? Every user mad to you because you delete/remove American Film Institute which is the prediction for Oscar's nominations. IreneTandry (talk) 13:55, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean of "except on a case-by-case basis subject to consensus"? Some people believe that top 10 films of American Film Institute will be the prediction for Oscar's nominations, at least one nomination, although that film in top 10 will not be nominated for Best Film. IreneTandry (talk) 14:10, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

IreneTandry (talk) 14:10, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's complicated.[edit]

I see the top 10 list at the film's accolades. I swear. User always write that top 10 at film's table accolades. Should I write American Film Institute's top 10 at Zootopia's accolades in order to tell the user, but not in the table accolades.

IreneTandry (talk) 14:31, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, I see user wrote that top 10 of American Film Institute and National Board of Review at the film's list of accolades in Wikipedia. Is ot possible for adding American Film Institute's top 10 film, but not in the table's accolades, but in the description? IreneTandry (talk) 14:42, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Vaughn[edit]

Hello, can you show me exactly were it states that on Wikipedia:Manual of Style or Wikipedia:Citing sources. I do not want to violate anything, however, I can not find exactly where it states you cannot have italics on TV Networks, businesses, organizations, institutes, or dotcoms. I usually do not use italics on dotcoms ( { { noitalic | dotcom } } ) without the spaces as an example.- Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 19:47, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas![edit]

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. If you don't like Christmas or just don't celebrate it in any of its forms, then please accept a generic "Happy Holidays". If you celebrate no holidays at this time of year, then hopefully you will be satisfied with an even more generic "Season's Greetings".  :) BOZ (talk) 01:40, 24 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Heartache[edit]

I'm heartache because user named URunICon is selfish. He doesn't look at the other accolades and believes his table is very perfect because he imitates List of accolades received by Spotlight (film). I hate that table's style. IreneTandry (talk) 06:20, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Am I right or wrong? I don't know what do you mean? IreneTandry (talk) 06:39, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

List of accolades received by Spotlight (film) is worse now. Because you delete the top 10, I see the table is worse. NB: I'm not man, I'm woman. IreneTandry (talk) 06:50, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Catherine Hickland[edit]

Hello my friend Tenebrae,

I saw you had problems with some IPs on Catherine Hickland because they are stubborn to don't insert a source. I think I found a good source for his birthdate that I insert in her article. If it isn't ok you can revert it or correct it, brother. Sincerely. --Danielvis08 (talk) 11:30, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And for Lesley Nicol, you are right when you revert all who put his birthdate as 19 June, 1953 because on the source I put in his article for his birthplace, the Daily Mail, she was 63 on May 26, 2016 implies she was born before May 27, 1953 and here on the Express [10] published May 6, 2015, she is aged 62 implies she was born before May 7, 1953 hence with these two proofs we know she can't be born June 19, 1953. I found a site in French who tells that she was born on 6 April, 1953 [11], but since it is in French, it is better that we let only 1953 in the article. Cordially. --Danielvis08 (talk) 14:50, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the holiday greeting[edit]

Hi Tenebrae,

Thanks for the message on Christmas. After taking some time away from Wikipedia, I'm returning to more frequent editing and have a "to do" list for myself of a few new articles to create. All Out War (comics), Jesse Santos, and Bill Draut have been completed and are now "live". Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season and here's hoping that 2017 will be a better year than this one. Mtminchi08 (talk) 04:50, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
