Your request.[edit]

Hello, I've noticed that you are seeking a user to adopt you, and I may be of help. I've made over 1,500 edits and have been actively involved in Wikipedia for over six months. I could also help if you are interested in making templates and joining WikiProjects actively. If you're interested, contact me on my talk page, and to help, you might want to see my user page to find out what I'm into. Thanks! ætərnal ðrAعon 10:07, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for the response you posted on my page. I could point you in the direction if you tell me what you're into, tell me where you want to start off. From what I've seen on your page, I guess you're quite into the 70s rock thing, so I've found several related WikiProjects which will tell you what articles you might be interested in. If there's a topic you might want to enhance the information on, tell me. BTW, I'm also involved in WP:ANIME and have created articles related to them with images and templates. Anyways, good luck and good hunting! ætərnal ðrAعon 10:01, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I know it may kill it but someone (don't worry, it won't be me) might snatch that album cover off your page because it is copyrighted, and all of that fair use crap. I know, I've had experience with that jargon, but I still believe in the "I did it in the name of rock!" thing. ætərnal ðrAعon 10:38, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Hey man, just up to checking how you're donig. Anyways, I've noticed you've got back into editing music-related pages. Based on what you told me, you said you were interested in adding templates and images, do you still like Phil Collins after he went solo? I've noticed that there are quite a few of those articles about songs which have half-full templates, lack images, etc. Quite a few stubes of them, anyway.

BTW, do you like Cream? I'm thinking on completely expanding the article on White Room, if you're interested in seriously expanding an article. ætərnal ðrAعon 00:36, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've searched a list of stubs on 70s rock albums and 80s rock albums, as well as 70s rock songs which you may know well. Alternately, there are also heaps of anime and manga and character stubs which I found. They're long lists, so if you're thinking of a particular album/song/series, use that Ctrl+F thing to see if anything you like is there. Happy editing, ætərnal ðrAعon 09:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now assessed as Start class. Comments on Talk Page. BTW, if someone sees the Album cover on your User Page, they'll delete it as Fair Use images are not allowed outside main article space. I haven't seen it, of course. --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 02:29, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And the album cover needs a Fair Use rationale for each article in which it's used, so you may want to consider whether it's worth keeping in the articles for each individual track since it's difficult to justify fair use for so many instances. --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 02:33, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I looked at that article again, and if you plan on expanding this article, don't forget to include the appropriate sources. You may begin by making inline citations. Think of expanding the theme section, and include quotes where necessary. If you can, try to include a 'live history' section which details performances of the songs. ætərnal ðrAعon 03:24, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re images- Fair Use means two things here, really. First is that use should be minimal and relevant, i.e. not for mere decoration. A copyright freak might argue that the album cover image adds nothing to the articles for individual tracks; personally, I think it makes the encyclopedia more entertaining and less dry. Second, each page where an image is used requires its own Fair Use rationale on the image page otherwise a bot will tag it. Hope that helps. Now, where's my chocolate surprise? --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 13:31, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm worried that someone might think the image is overused, but it needs a separate justification for each page on which its used. At present there is just a general justification. You should find a FairUse template on some other album cover, copy it to the image page & alter it accordingly. Otherwise it will get deleted. You will get 7 days notice, however, before it is. Let me know if this happens & I'll take a look at it. --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 21:35, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I noticed you've created your own article already. That's great to hear, seems you did the templae for it already. In case you wanted to know how you could expand it I've created an article on an anime series before, so you might want to check it out in my contributions.

Congratulations on the creation of your first article, You're Under Arrest (TV Drama), and the template to match. Here's to making more articles and getting them to GA and FA status! --ætərnal ðrAعon 03:39, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genesis 2007[edit]

Hi there, I've just downloaded "Live in Manchester 070707", which I see is also on eBay, but described as "not a bootleg". As I understand it, the official album is "Live Over Europe 2007", released tomorrow. Do you know anything about this? Cheers. --Rodhullandemu (please reply here - contribs) 15:30, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks a lot. 070707 is a brilliant album. BTW, there's now a article for Get 'Em Out by Friday, don't know if you've seen it yet. Cheers. --Rodhullandemu (please reply here - contribs) 01:32, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Calling all active WP:NOVELS members[edit]

WikiProject Novels Roll Call

WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved!

Next month we will begin the coordinator election selection process. We hope to have more involvement and input this time around! More news will be forthcoming. Thanks, everyone! María (habla conmigo) 13:47, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
