Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Gold Coast Airport, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. VenFlyer98 (talk) 14:47, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Alrighty buddy Takendreams83 (talk) 14:49, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
To user Takendreams83, I have provided sources for the return of these airlines on the Adelaide Airport destinations sections. If you cannot open your eyes and see them, that is not my problem. Additionally, if you cannot provide a reliable source to cite these airlines not coming back this year, please stop reverting my changes. Seems as per looking at your talk-page, you have a history of changing airport pages without citations. Unless these destinations are confirmed terminated by they airlines without intention to resume, they will remain on the destinations list as per other Australian Airport pages, such as Perth Airport. Luke848 (talk) 00:49, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, I have looked at your sources, and the clear factor about them is they do not have a confirmed date of resumption, even if an airline says it intends to return, unless this is confirmed by the airline and bookings for the flights have been released online it shouldn’t be added. This is particularly relevant for China Southern Airlines where they haven’t made any suggestion of returning to Adelaide, just because they flew to the city before COVID, doesn’t necessarily mean they will return. And you mention Perth Airport, China Southern Airlines has been removed from their destination list even though they never explicitly announced a termination the service, it has just never been renewed after COVID cut the flights in 2020. South African Airways announced their intention to resume Perth flights in December but that wasn’t added to the list until flights were available for booking in January, so no your idea of how these pages should be edited is not consistent with other Australian Airports. Thanks Takendreams83 (talk) 04:07, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yet you add Shanghai-pudong (of all places) to little Gold Coast airport’s destination list (which is surprisingly limited compared to Cairns), without even a link, then claim my edits are inconsistent with other airports. Hypocrisy. Luke848 (talk) 10:53, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
lol it was a little test anyways it got removed and I acknowledged it was wrong of me to do that and I didn’t go trying to revert it like you with your “awaiting resumption” nonsense. Takendreams83 (talk) 15:33, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Mate, I don’t think you understand. I work at the airport scheduling office and talk with these airline's on the phone. We’ve called china southern and they do plan to return when they have enough available craft and when the university merger is in full swing with international students this year. Probably wrong of me to put “awaiting resumption” but that is the accurate situation, regardless of whether I have a website article to tell me what I already know. It’s a matter of when, not if for Adelaide-Guangzhou route. Different compared to adding Shanghai-pudong to a lower-tier airport, without qantas ever having announced at least one international route from the Gold Coast. Best not “test” on these pages, or you’ll mislead passengers if you don’t know what you’re doing. If you want to “test”, instead of pressing publish on a page, and quickly reverting it, press the “preview” button adjacent to the “publish” button, and you can see what your edit looks like when it’s finished on a page. Thank you. Luke848 (talk) 01:01, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Isn’t that a conflict of interest if you work at the airport and edit their pages. Takendreams83 (talk) 03:14, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also if you are so confident about this take it upon yourself to add these changes to Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Dubai’s airports destination list and their respective airlines destinations list. Takendreams83 (talk) 03:16, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
