Off for Advent and now Lent[edit]

I tend to go off during the holidays, however this time I am again considering becoming permanently less active. Much of this is that in 2018 I intend to focus on self-improvement in the real world and work. And yet I admit that I am again having some moral difficulties with working at a site that is very biased in favor of certain positions that I have always opposed. I am being cautious in explaining what I mean as I do not want to start a fight, but one might be able to glean what I mean just by how I categorize my page. In the past I had learned to ignore this by just not working on politically or religiously sensitive issues, but maybe "complicit" being the word of the year this year is making me wonder if that is ultimately cowardice. Am I enabling something that I once said, and to an extent still feel, is a negative influence on the world? It is a conundrum. That said I am not going to make a blanket statement, as I once did, that I will never return. I probably will, but I might limit myself more to my own lists or just improving articles I have already made.--T. Anthony (talk) 02:40, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

On consideration, yeah I'm going to work on my own lists or articles I've made when I return.--T. Anthony (talk) 05:30, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Now I'm off for Lent. Despite the above I may still start articles on Winter Paralympians.--T. Anthony (talk) 02:41, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Off for pretty much good[edit]

Done with Paralympians, so mostly intend to be gone until maybe 2020. I'll likely still edit my own red lists. Anyway so long!--T. Anthony (talk) 08:26, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for beginning hundreds of articles on personalities in literature, art, music, sports, politics, religion, such as Hannah Caroline Aase and Volker David Kirchner, some improved to high quality, such as Toyohara Kunichika and Diane Schuur, for the list of Catholic musicians, for service from 2005, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

My article about Darja Fedorovich (a Belarusian draughts player which plays at 2019 Women's World Draughts Championship)) moved to Draft:Darja Fedorovich. How make it again an article? Help, please. Bars 23 (talk) 19:44, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, I don't know. I don't see anything wrong with it offhand. Did the version that was an article have less sourcing than this? Is there a way you can find a source that covers things other than chess and draughts? Like did she receive coverage in a Russian or Belarusian newspaper?T. Nice to talk to you. You know? I am pretending to read Il Kantilena in a meeting of arab poetry. I would be very interested in quoting you, who edites the translation. Best wishes — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2800:21C1:C400:944:CD01:9ED2:4939:20E6 (talk) 13:00, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hah, I actually made articles on things I really know little about. I'd just look them up online. I can't speak or read Arabic.T. Anthony (talk) 16:15, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

T. Anthony - sorry to disturb you, and I suspect that messages like mine might be irritating to the recipient, but I was looking at the article you created at Susan DiBona, and I come away questioning whether the subject meets the notability guideline. One of the three reference links is non-working, and another is a story about a local, hometown benefit concert fundraiser for a scholarship named after her father. I just don't think this one cuts it, but I would be delighted to be proven wrong (with more sources that establish notability)! - AppleBsTime (talk) 19:23, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello—

Over a decade ago, primarily in the years between 2005 and 2010, you did a significant amount of work to the article osteogenesis imperfecta. I wanted to thank you for this work in the early years of the encyclopedia, when the work was much harder due to paucity of sources and poorly established policies on Wikipedia (as people were still figuring out what Wikipedia was and wasn't, and it was becoming the mature project it now is). I wanted to let you know that I rewrote significant portions of the article, cleaned up all {{cn}} tags, and it's currently under WP:GA review and will hopefully pass once reviewer Vaticidalprophet has time to work on it. (Certainly they are not the sole cause of how long it's been in GA queue, I took quite a while to reply to their first comment as well.) I have found it interesting how, unlike the majority of medical articles on Wikipedia, this OI article has been primarily moved forwards by sufferers of the disease, rather than able-bodied editors or medical experts. This is one of the only articles I know of where someone with a rare disease has donated their X-rays to the project, and I hope that becomes more common. I found your comments from 15 years ago interesting, such as I've only rarely heard of OI [patient]s with clinical depression, but this might be my lack of knowledge, but I have heard of OI [patient]s who are depressed because of isolation or pain., because I actually had a stay in psychiatric hospital followed by foster care primarily due to clinical depression, so, certainly your hunch was right that your experience was not universal. It seems my case is more severe than yours, which is also interesting as I think having both perspectives led to the balance we see in the article today. I am not sure if you will ever read this as you last edited in 2020, but thank you. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 09:47, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
