Warning: Biographical content regarding living people[edit]

Wikipedia takes biographical content regarding living people very seriously. This is true even if those living people have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please do not make edits like this one again. You can consider this equivalent to a "level-3" {{Uw-defamatory3}} warning; I've just written out something a bit more long-winded to be clear about the nuance.

Furthermore—and this part I say in my capacity as a sockpuppet investigations clerk—when someone is accused of sockpuppetry, please don't go to their talkpage to let them know they are being officially investigated, nor to generally antagonize them. If you have something to add to the SPI report, add it there; otherwise, just leave it be and wait for the admins and clerks to handle things.

Thanks. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 18:11, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Tamzin. What would we do without you. --Swift502 (talk) 18:32, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to see you're taking the warning in stride. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 18:39, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest[edit]

Hi I wanted to make you aware there is a current investigation into your account for a conflict of interest

@Garen67541: Good try Rya- I mean Garen. Unfortunately there can't be a conflict of interest on something I haven't done, since I've never edited the article. Also please consider improving the formatting of your posts and always properly indent them and sign them. --Swift502 (talk) 13:09, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As a side note I tried numerous times to put positive information on the Ryan Kavanaugh page, but I can never find reliable sources on the positive things Ryan has done, since they're all promotional in nature, or directly written by Ryan. --Swift502 (talk) 13:24, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

H3 and RK[edit]

Hi, I think perhaps it is best if you didn't try to fuel the drama. This is an open wiki, so you are free to edit and observe. However, maaking posts that get you warnings like I saw here is not generally in your interest. And yes, I remember you from WP:COIN. --SVTCobra 03:55, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'm done. Swift502 (talk) 09:27, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions alert: biographies of living persons[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Last warning.[edit]

Information icon Please do not create malicious redirects. They are disruptive and are considered vandalism, and have been reverted or deleted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. I advise you to stop editing pages related to Ryan Kavanaugh as you have been warned several times previously. This is a issue of a WP:BLP. This is your final warning, you will be blocked if you continue to ignore these warnings. Pabsoluterince (talk) 07:39, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
