April 2019[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Zee Horror Show has been reverted.
Your edit here to Zee Horror Show was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=aHX53wZjMq4) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:25, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

X Zone moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, X Zone, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 07:45, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve X Zone[edit]

Hello, Swapnilraj55,

Thanks for creating X Zone! I edit here too, under the username I dream of horses and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

I wouldn't have had to put in cleanup tags if you hadn't recreated the article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|I dream of horses}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Speedy deletion nomination of Rooh[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Rooh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. License tagging for File:Rooh logo.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rooh logo.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:30, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Swapnilraj55, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Zee Horror Show have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:15, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Zee Horror Show, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Javed Khan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:16, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

May 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of Bhojpuri-language television channels appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 08:37, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Youtube links[edit]

It is rarely acceptable to put a link to Youtube in an article, and almost never suitable to use Youtube as a reference. There are several reasons for that, including the fact that anyone can post to Youtube, so that it isn't a reliable source, and the fact that commercial films, videos, and television programmes on Youtube are virtually always copyright violations. (Commercial companies don't usually put their material on Youtube.) Breaking sticks (talk) 21:26, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gubbare requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://nettv4u.com/about/Hindi/tv-serials/gubbare. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ... discospinster talk 18:15, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi as per the MOS:DATE We don't use ordinals (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) in the date and We prefer "and" over "&" as per WP:AMPERSAND. Warm Regards. Sid95Q (talk) 11:10, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi please read MOS:TV everything is clearly written there. All you queries like how to add content and make an article good will be solved after reading that. And I want to clear few thing based your edit history.

  • Please check MOS:DATE to know correct format to add dates, We do not use ordinals (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.).
  • Wikipedia is not TV Guide so we do not add Time slots etc. in articles
  • Check MOS:TVEPISODELIST (for episode listing) and other guidelines mentioned in MOS:TV so that your edits become more constructive.

You are adding some very important information only thing missing is the style followed by the community guidelines. Warm Reagards. Sid95Q (talk) 06:29, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

May I assist?[edit]

Hi there, re: this edit, while I understand the basic desire to burn off some steam, these sorts of edits are not constructive, and could be construed as vandalism, since it's generally considered bad form to make changes in another editor's User space. But that's not really why I'm here. Sid95Q seems to believe you have potential as an editor, so I'm offering you help if you need it. There are lots of guidelines and policies that editors are expected to adhere to, since they represent widespread community expectations. These rules can be daunting and it can be upsetting to have worked on something only to have it deleted. If there are opportunities for me to help you understand some of them, please feel free to contact me on my talk page.

My first suggestion would be to familiarise yourself with our guidelines on reliable sources. It's important for new editors to be able to suss out what kinds of sources are suitable as references, and which are not. And as a general rule, I'd say that any facts or opinions that you add or change should be accompanied by reliable sources. You should stay away from blogs, or web portals or any site that isn't well-established. We only care what sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about anything. See WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources for a short list of good and bad in the context of Indian entertainment.

We also have a general behavioral guideline, "assume good faith". Sid95Q isn't out to get you. He happens to know a little bit more than you do about our basic rules, and perhaps you might take that into consideration and seek his advice as well, and we don't tolerate personal attacks, so keeping a cool head is also helpful. And again, if you have questions, please feel free to contact me at User talk:Cyphoidbomb. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:15, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
