Information icon Hello, I'm Altenmann. An edit that you recently made to Eye of a needle seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Eye of a needle. Your edits continue to appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Eye of a needle was changed by Sunsunsun78 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.889644 on 2016-11-04T02:03:59+00:00 .

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Eye of a needle, you may be blocked from editing. Imminent77 (talk) 02:09, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Eye of a needle. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Edit warring at Eye of a needle[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

The full report is at the edit warring noticeboard. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 02:51, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Block extended to two weeks for evasion, per a report on my talk page. An IP-hopper from 123.136.107.0/24 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)) at Eye of a needle has been making the same edits. Another IP at 123.136.112.130 could be the same person.
