Please consult WP:External links. Inserting links to your website is not helpful. The point of an encyclopedia (or at least this one) is not to direct readers to classified ads. You say that the webiste is "one of the region's leading online classifieds website". We don't list other online classified websites. Hi Zahnrad,

  Don't you think that a free community classifieds is something good for the San Gabriel Valley? I mean, people search SGV in google to find information about San Gabriel Valley and they come here to WP. Thye get to see a lot of information about the area and now they have a place to purchase or sell within this community. I can understand if its a classifieds website for the whole USA but this is relevant to this region. What is the difference between SGVads.com and links on there such as Pasadena247.com or The orange Cat or The Pasadena Star News etc etc. Aren't those links about the community also? I think you guys should leave this up for people to find, it's a FREE classifieds website for the community for god sake. LEAVE IT UP.

The purpose of an encycopedia is not to help people buy and sell things. If we allowed everyone who has something to sell, or who has a website to help them sell, to post a link on Wikipedia this site would be overcome with links. Instead, we only want links that have information which we can't include in Wikipedia for some reason. I've already removed the external link and instead just put a non linkable url there for the community and you guys still removed it? Who are you to make the decide what links can stay and what cannot? Tell me what is the difference between my link and the rest that's on there now? So Pasadena Star news doesn't have a classified section? Do we really need another social network site? Come on! Unless you guys know these people and favoritism is involved I suggest you leave the links alone. This is a public site, made for the public to add information they deem helpful. I think a link to a community classifieds website where THE COMMUNITY benefits from it should remain there should should not be removed.

I've removed the social network site as well. This project has policies, guidelines, and norms. If you follow the rules then you're welcome to contribute. If you're just here to promote your website then that doesn't really help. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 23:08, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

  Don't you think that a site that caters to the community is worthwhile? I mean it's a free site and it's within the SGV which is the whole purpose of this page. It's for people that come here looking for information about SGV. You can have info such as what movies was filmed in the area but the useful content such as where they can place a free ad within their community is not? I think you should reconsider, I will edit this any longer but I do think it is helpful to the community. Please leave it up.
