Proposed deletion of List of Terrestrial Fibre Optic Cable Projects in Africa[edit]

The article List of Terrestrial Fibre Optic Cable Projects in Africa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced, laundry list of external links with no clear purpose

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Stevesong. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Speedy deletion nomination of Rain (network operator)[edit]

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rain (network operator) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

Fails WP:NCORP, and in particular, WP:CORPDEPTH. Four of the references are routine coverage of the rebranding announcement. A good clue to this is that they're all published on the same day (well, OK, one is a day later). One other is also routine coverage, this time of the announcement of an investment in the company.

But the article did say why it notable, i.e. that the introduction of a new network operator significantly changes the telecommunications market in South Africa with implications for Internet access, deemed a significant topic on Wikipedia, in Africa. So this is not a question of someone failing to meet the guidelines for an article and notability.
