Hello, Stephenbeckerle

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SunDawn, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Beckerle Lumber, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SunDawn}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Hello SunDawn,
I tried to answer your message this morning but I think I didn't send the message because I wasn't logged in?
I will try again forgive me if you already got my message from earlier.
Basically I wanted to thank you for pointing out the issues with the page and let you know I am going to add some changes that hopefully will make the page worthy.
Let me know what you think.

I have updated the page with more content & references.
Let me know if this is good enough for now to not be deleted from wikipedia.
The intention here is, this is just the beginning of this page.
I invite & expect others to contribute to this new page.
Thanks for your help. Stephenbeckerle (talk) 19:36, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Stephenbeckerle. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Beckerle Lumber ‎, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Hello, Stephenbeckerle,
It was an unwise move to create sockpuppet accounts because your article was nominated for deletion. There were better ways to handle this and just because there was a deletion discussion doesn't mean that the article you created was inevitably going to be deleted. Now, you are blocked and any future accounts you create will be blocked. Please read over the block notice (above) and if you wish to be unblocked, review Guide to Appealing Blocks before filing an unblock request.
If you just create additional accounts while you are blocked or edit while logged out as an IP editor, you will make the likelihood of getting unblocked very remote. So, don't panic, read over the information at the links provided, and play by the rules. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:18, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

is closed. Noting user admits to asking on FaceBook that others join the AfD. Annd, I see that an unregistered editor took him up on that. @Stephenbeckerle:, it is doubtful that a random person thus recruited would understand WP:N well enough to discuss notability at AfD. Coördinating edits off-Wiki in this manner is a form of WP:sockpuppetry -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 05:07, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I posted on a community FB news page to inform the local community about the delete article discussion and to JOIN in the discussion if they had an interest. I did NOT say how to weigh in.
I just asked them to join in if they had interest.
This is a community web page that is used to post local news. I was posting news to JOIN in the discussion NOT "recruiting".
That anyone responded
means that there is interest in the community by whoever responded. Again I state these users are doing this on their own NOT because of me.
I ONLY informed them of the wikipedia discussion. I did NOT realize this was against the rules. I am surprised this is a reason to block me from wikipedia?
I would think the more people that weigh in on the discussion the better?
Is it against the rules? Stephenbeckerle (talk) 11:39, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I should also make sure it is clear and for the record -
I did NOT "coordinate edits" with anyone. Stephenbeckerle (talk) 12:11, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also for the record: I have only had and only ever used ONE account (Stephenbeckerle) for my entire 13 years on wikipedia. Stephenbeckerle (talk) 13:00, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
