Coronets[edit]

Hi I have taken the liberty of adding some of your artworks to articles (Baron,Earl,Marquess,Duke and Coronet) as they are part of wiki commons. They really are brilliant! Thanks for sharing them with wikipedia! --Camaeron (talk) 19:37, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dolega[edit]

You seem to have taken the liberty of deleting some of Dolega page. Can you explain why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jemthepen (talkcontribs) 20:27, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

UK Coronets[edit]

Hi !

I noticed you have placed the image of a UK viscount's coronet on the viscount page. I thought I should tell you that the jewels in UK coronets are not real jewels, they are just engraved in the metal of the coronet, so, you see, they would be coloured gold like the rest of the coronet.

Thank-you for taking the time and making the effort to produce this artwork, it is very useful - although in this case I noticed this small inaccuracy.

best wishes OrangUtanUK 16:01, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About Polish clans, Polish families and Polish coats of arms[edit]

Dear friends:

If you have some extra time, I would appreciate if you can take a look to Category:Coats of arms of clans of Poland and Category:Polish nobility coats of arms images, mainly the Talk pages.

There is an Italian wikipedian, who knows nothing about Polish history and Polish szlachta and he is rearranging the categories in Category:Coats of arms of Poland

In commons he is User:G.dallorto

My point of view may have some mistakes but I would thank you very much your thought and your discussion on this issue.

As today I got few time I am sending this same message to:

If you know somebody else interested in Polish heraldry and Polish szlachta, please invite him to join this Discussion.

Best regards, my friends, and thank you by your answer to this request. --Gustavo 08:17, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MacLellan Crest[edit]

I have an email from the family and they are unhappy with your rendition of the crest because the warrior's head is supposed to be caucasian and there is not supposed to be an earring. Comments? The Uninvited Co., Inc. 03:42, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the families unhappiness is a fraction compared with that experienced by Black Morrow, when their ancestor murdered him in such a cowardly way.Harrypotter (talk) 18:51, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Steifer is correct, Burk's give the crest as: a naked cubit arm, supporting upon the point of a sword, erect, a moor's head, all ppr. Mottoes: Think on; and Superba frango; ref link. In heraldry the moor is a black man, see link hereto. The artist in heraldry often adds features and I see no problem with ear rings; I have seen versions with a head band. yours Czar Brodie (talk) 16:41, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scottish Heraldry[edit]

Steifer, I've just looked at the Polish Wiki's article on Scottish heraldry. It is very nice. Would you be able to provide me with a rough English translation for use on the English wikipedia? Ours is very poor right now. Also, would you be able to produce an image of the Stodart differencing system with English captions? Thanks so much. You can contact me either here or on the English wikipedia. Thanks.--Eva bd 18:23, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Baron's coronet[edit]

Please could you upload Image:Lord-red.png in svg format? Many thanks. - Kittybrewster 16:08, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well done. But truly, all the British crowns should have red stuff rather than purple. - Kittybrewster 19:05, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You show Marquis and Chevalier with the same helmet. - Kittybrewster 11:25, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arms of Ulster[edit]

You show this the wrong way round. - Kittybrewster 20:53, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About Herb Sas[edit]

Dear Tomek,

I am very happy to contact you again. Of course, I am going to do my best. May be I will contact Maciej also, in order to share more information. --Gustavo (talk) 02:28, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Dear Tomek,

What do you think about it now. Sorry to take me so long time. Regards. --Gustavo (talk) 06:40, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing the matter out. Yes it is not clear, but when it comes to contradictory references the most recent authority is usualy the best in my view. See the arms updated at Wikimedia with an added link to Burke's 2001 as reference in the description thereto. Yours ever, Czar Brodie (talk) 22:38, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
