Thanks for your time on the IRC channel, I hope you are not too discouraged. I neglected to mention that overall you have put a lot of good effort into this article. Unfortunately from what I can tell, the police career doesn't establish anything notable, but would be kept if he is notable otherwise. So that leaves the Arthur bit, and there is no significant coverage of his authoring work (WP:AUTHOR), and I cannot find a way to support the Amazon status, currently the best selling book is still ranked #1,946,111, which seems a far cry from the claim in the article. If it was true that it was a best seller and there is a reliable source then the article might be something worth keeping around. Unfortunately wikipedia is not simply a collection of all good cops, or authors. Tiggerjay (talk) 04:52, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
