Ythlev issue[edit]

I think you'll have to re-open your issue with Ythlev at AN/I if you consider it unclosed. I haven't tried to analyse Ythlev's involvement in your issue, but from what you wrote at AN/I, it sounded similar to the PL case. To clarify: my proposal was for the discussion on the PL COVID-19 talk page to be closed, not for the AN/I issue to be closed, since with you joining, it involved more than just the PL COVID-19 talk page.

However, I don't wish to "gang up" on Ythlev, so I'm not going to propose reopening the issue - I very rarely propose actions at AN/I. Ythlev has a chance to cool down and learn from the recommendations I've made to him/her to read WP:CIVIL, WP:CONSENSUS, WP:APOLOGY and from points made by other people. I guess you and the other editors might be able to learn something from the way that the discussion took place on the PL COVID-19 talk page (follow the link in the "closed" AN/I discussion). You could use more formal proposal-making methods if the more informal methods fail. Hope this helps. Boud (talk) 23:58, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Boud: Thank you for this information Boud. Although unclear if I will re-open a case, it is good to know. Bringing forward a case of this nature seems to takes more time and energy than I would expect, and although I (apparently like many other editors) firmly object some of the changes made by Ythlev, I can also sympathize with him as I have no doubt his intentions are good. On top of that, disputes is the last thing I (and I am sure you too) want to engage in on Wikipedia. Statistologist (talk) 03:58, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
