Wasalam Umais. I am a little busy in real life, so might not be able to dedicate much time to article expansion for a week. Right now I am keeping myself limited to watching my watchlist. -- SMS Talk 18:36, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

I believe the lead doesn't summarize the article at all. Can you help the article by making it more appropriate? Aditya(talkcontribs) 04:25, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

You are right, the lead needs to be expanded as well as the article. I will surely try to expand it as soon as I get some time, probably in a week. -- SMS Talk 18:36, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Kashmir conflict

Regarding this edit, do you not think we ought to mention why India has not held a referendum? Darkness Shines (talk) 17:03, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Isn't it already mentioned in the very next line or I am missing a certain aspect of it? -- SMS Talk 17:17, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
Ok so that was a bad revert in the first place, as the same was said earlier in the same para followed by what I see as the India's official point of view for not holding the referendum. But I still would like to know if something is missing. -- SMS Talk 17:20, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
{ec}No idea , not been keeping much of an eye on the article of late. Will do a read over of the lot in a few days. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:21, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

At the 3RR noticeboard, can you indicate which recent editors you believe to be socks? You state that A. was warring with them. I am glad that you warned Asifiqbal80 but have you figured out what the dispute is actually about? Now that semiprotection has been applied by another admin, the situation should improve but I still can't figure out what to do about Asifiqbal80. Need Help in WP:PBUH

Hi bro,

I need your help removing terrorism section from WP:PBUH.

I removed it citing reason why it should be removed but CambridgeBayWeather put it back in.

If you can please go to that page and remove that section by reverting the change done by CambridgeBayWeather.

It will establish a consensus that more than one person think that it should be removed.

I also tried to talk it out with CambridgeBayWeather on his talk page and you can see my post there as well.

Help me brother. Sajjad Altaf (talk) 01:47, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello Sajjad. The page you are referring to is a styling guideline for Islam related articles and the section titled terrorism is very much needed as much as I think as Words that should be watched while editing these articles. So the only thing that I think needs to be done is to make it more generic. -- SMS Talk 02:37, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Cannot thank you enough, you made my day. Sajjad Altaf (talk) 06:34, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Content removal from Yahya Khan (→‎The US role)

Information icon Hello, I'm Alex rosenberg35. I noticed that you recently removed some content without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! --Alex Rosenberg (talk) 22:30, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

"removed some content without explaining why" User:Alex_rosenberg35 Are you sure about that? Did you read the edit summary of my edit? -- SMS Talk 01:59, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
Well, I should have revised the above message, which comes from {{uw-delete1}}. I did see your reference to WP:COATRACK; however, WP:COATRACK does not justify such immediate action in this case. In accordance with WP:BDP, the paragraph does not necessitate immediate deletion, as Yahya Khan is not a living person. Rather than removing the paragraph in it's entirety, it would be more appropriate to allow it to be rewritten per NPOV FAQ 1.1.2, as some of it could be salvaged. If you believe the section is subject to fact picking, then please help balance it out with facts and trim off unsourced claims, but refrain from removing verifiable claims. Specifically, while the given claims regarding Sheikh Mujib's role in the Bangladesh famine of 1974 may be questionable, the famine itself is verifiable, relevant, and notable. Notable claims do not make for a coatrack article, per WP:WINAC. Also, notable allegations or incidents belong in the article, even if they are negative. --Alex Rosenberg (talk) 22:50, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
@User:Alex rosenberg35 I know this is a template message and that is why you should read WP:DTR. And thank you for a detailed explanation as it is now much clear that you have no understanding of COATRACK. BLP does not ask not remove content of a biography article if there is a problem other than that mentioned in BLP. And your NPOV FAQ 1.1.2 argument would have been valid if I had pointed out some POV issue but I didn't. Coatrack is about the some content not focusing on the subject of the article and this was the reason for the removal of that text. As what Mujib did after Bangladesh got independence has nothing to do with a former military ruler of the parent country. So in short I still have have to see a valid argument for the inclusion of that text. -- SMS Talk 04:35, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

Your Clevery

Hello, its Yasir72.multan
Hhhmmmmm...... Now I understood that why you was deleting my article (about festivals) many times. The following points are showing your clevery to stole my article :

1. First of all you showed enemity with my article
2. Then, you stole it
3. You creat "Mar4d" named account. (I felt doubt when I saw "Mar4d" name on your user page's barnstars section).
4. Then you creat User:Mar4d/2013 and User:Mar4d/2014 on Simple English Wikipedia. (These are same as my articles)
5. You have also request for its semi-protection.

I am asking you that

1. Why you did not show enimity for Mar4d's articles (because these are created by you?) ?
2. Why did you request it for protection? (it was an article created by a banned user)
3. Why had you request for checking me? (what do you want?) Watch [[1]]

Dont forget that you are an auto-comfirmed user only in this wikipedia (not in any global wiki). You can block me and delete my article only in this wikipedia. But you cannot do these things in global wiki.

Moreover, dont worry, Mar4d's pages has been deleted. I told administrators about its stole. I told them how the images and templates has been removed after its stoling.

The administrators Semi-Protect my pages (These administrators are 10000x better then you).

Dont forget to reply and dont remove the message until you do not reply me. Waiting for your reply.
Thanks - 119.160.118.119 (talk) 15:42, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

Forget Standard Offer now. -- SMS Talk 03:22, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Message No.1

My Dear Smsarmad, Now I not need any Standard offer and I also not want to work on this english wikipedia. You were have notice in my carrier that I always tried to save my article only. Hence now my article (about festivals) has been saved and protected in Simple English Wikipedia. Therefore, I not need to work on this wiki now.
You can talk with the administrators. I am not irritating them like I Irritated you. I just request for Semi-Protection of my page (and they done it).

Message No.2

Moreover, You had done a mistake about stoling my article. You was going against my articles but you creat them on SE Wikipedia and also request it for Semi-Protection.You have not yet answer me "Why?"
Launchballer and RHaworth did not yet informed about it. But dont worry my country fellow, I will not tell them any thing. This issue is between us and now it has been finished. So it has no any advantage to discuss it any more. But I only need the answer of "Why?".

Message No.3

Otherwise, Thanks for deleting my pages and blocking my accounts on this wiki. I learnt many things and increase my Wiki-Knowladge in my 5 months carrier.
My all credit goes to you Smsarmad. A man learns when he mistakes. My mistakes learnt me many things

I learnt the following things:

1. How to edit a page?
2. How to talk a user or admin?
3. What is the meaning of User blocking?
4. What is Sockpuppetry?
5. How to creat an article?
6. How to creat another account (even I block) ?
7. How to request any thing to the administrators?
8. How to upload a file?

Before 5 months, I have not know any thing about wikipedia

Give me 3 replies or comments of my these 3 message respectively.
Thanks. - I wish that it should be my last discussion on this wiki. - 119.160.118.131 (talk) 10:37, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Ahhhhh...... You have no any answer Of my message No.2. I think you got "un-answered" first time in your 9 years carrier.
Ok, ignore this question, (because this issue has been finished). Now, Give me answers or comments of my message no.1 and 3. 119.160.119.63 (talk) 11:04, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Well you want answer? File a sockpuppet investigation case against me for using more than one accounts in a manner not permitted by the Sock puppetry policy, instead of making unfounded accusations. -- SMS Talk 15:28, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

O,Ohhh.... I think you mind it. I am sorry for that. But it a very grateful for you that you accepted your mistake.
I forgave you and you forgive me.
Allah likes those who forgive others
In my carrier, I did many sockpuppetry, personal attacks and irritating. But never stole any article. I just create my own article and want to save it.

The 1947 NWFP referendum

You reverted my wording on the 1947 NWFP referendum in the article on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I have started a discussion on the talk page Talk:Khyber_Pakhtunkhwa#The_1947_referendum. Please respond there about what POV you think my wording inserted. I really was just looking to add clarity. Ajobin (talk) 20:14, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Please respond on the talk page about what you think would be a most salient, most neutral, least inflammatory wording to represent the fact that nearly half of all people boycotted the election. Do you agree that a chart would be better than words? Ajobin (talk) 06:21, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

Ishtiaq Ali

Hi Smsarmad, In regards to User_talk:Scottywong#Ishtiaq_Ali: I know you are a good editor and I would trust your judgement -- however, especially because you are looked up to, you must not only do the right thing, but also appear to be doing the right thing. There are others with less experiece who watch what you and try to copy it, so using the correct tags for deletions is of utmost importance. I am saying this as someone who had a lot of their own creations to Wikipedia nominated for wp:CSD hastily and injustly (in my opion, of course :-). XOttawahitech (talk) 21:43, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

Thank you Ottawahitech and Scottywong for patiently listening to me and also helping me to improve my understanding of CSD#A7. And I completely agree with your view as I now understand and realize the issue you point to and also the negative effect on new contributors who see the big red banner on their first or one of the first article, after I realize how little I know about CSD. -- SMS Talk 19:20, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi, just joined your project and prior to it have created the above article related to a terrorist attack on Iranian-Pakistani border. Since its my first article in the field of terrorism can you check its neutrality, notability and possible name change. Many thanks and salam aleikum.--Mishae (talk) 02:41, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Wasalam and Welcome to WikiProject Pakistan. I hope you will have good time here and will contribute further to the articles in the Pakistan topic area. As of now the only concern I see is that the article needs to be copy edited as currently it more looks like a news report. So I will try to copy edit it or ask someone else if I don't get time. Happy editing -- SMS Talk 20:43, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Dera Ghazi Khan (Poverty by District)

Hey bro,

Why do you think that source entered by me is not reliable? Looks pretty reliable to me. Sajjad Altaf (talk) 21:59, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Self published blogs are mostly never considered a reliable source. I have added the original source it was pointing to. -- SMS Talk 22:28, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
So it was just a matter of adding original source which was actually part of the article which I was referring.
The reason for that was that people can see both the article and original source.
Also, I never thought that this was a self-published blog by Haroon Jamal :) Sajjad Altaf (talk) 02:39, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
Yes kind of that and also lack of thorough review of the link you added on my part. Had I done it earlier I would not have reverted, so sorry for that. -- SMS Talk 03:11, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

@Dr.Muhammad yar khan First of all Welcome to Wikipedia. I never claimed anything nor added that content you are mentioning about Abdul Qadeer Khan. Neither were my edits related to that. I only removed content that was promotional (and also unsourced). This article is not a promotional platform for the subject but an encyclopedia article that should be written neutrally with content cited to reliable source(s) or for which possibly such a source can be found.
Here at Wikipedia, being related to the subject of an article in any way does not give an editor any right/authority to edit the article without other editors scrutinizing these edits. In fact you have to be extra cautious in case you are related to the subject. Also repeatedly adding such content is considered disruptive and can result in a block. -- SMS Talk 11:44, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
