Human rights abuses in Jammu and Kashmir

I removed all that junk form the top of the article, those articles are already in the see also section. When was that crap added? Facts, not fiction (talk) 20:39, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

I am wondering the same besides who added that? Btw neither the Sindh nor Balochistan articles are related to this. --SMS Talk 20:45, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Of course they are, all of those regions are tied in. See WP:SEEALSO Facts, not fiction (talk) 20:54, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
I am sorry, I disagree. --SMS Talk 20:59, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Zardari

is becoming a headache :) Would it not be better to request protection of some sort for the article? It defies logic why a high-profile article like this is open for IPs. Mar4d (talk) 09:11, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

lol you are right about the headache, will request protection. --SMS Talk 09:28, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Also ask the same for "Raja ki aayegi baraat" (although looking at the revision history makes "vandals ki aayegi baraat" a more apt phrase) Mar4d (talk) 09:42, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
I guess it is better to request these two to step down instead of page protection. --SMS Talk 13:07, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Edit warring

On an article which is on the front page, stop now. You misrepresented the source, you give undue weight to an opinion piece, which is what news blogs are. You do not use the talk page. Follow BRD which you guys like to cite all the time. Facts, not fiction (talk) 16:22, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

I have replied to your concerns on talkpage and removal of that statement from the *article* is totally undue so you better stop it. And I have *never* cited BRD ever. "you guys"? What do you mean by this? --SMS Talk 16:26, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
  • That is just a humour, enjoy it. Cheers.Justice007 (talk) 16:57, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

September 2012

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Talk:Domestic violence in Pakistan, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Facts, not fiction (talk) 18:05, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the article GAGAN has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you. It wasn't unambiguous copyright violation. Mrt3366(Talk?) (New thread?) 16:17, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Would you like to tell me which edit you are talking about and how is the edit summary inaccurate or inappropriate? --SMS Talk 16:20, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) - Darkness Shines, could you please explain your reason for templating an established user here instead of the more respected course of explaining your concerns in your own words. Also please explain why you feel the edit in question is incorrect in the first place, since it's on a discussion page in the first place. Thank you. Also Mrt3366 Could you link to the summary you are referring to ? Thank you also. Mlpearc (powwow) 17:06, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

It is a violation of copyright and also policy to place WP:LINKVIO's anywhere on wiki. If I do not have time to write a nice informal message I use the template, whats it to you anyway? There is nothing wrong with templating a regular, other than regular contributors beliefs they are a step above others, they are not. Facts, not fiction (talk) 18:29, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
What's it to me ? It's Wikipedia and I am an editor. Sorry that my query has brought this nonsense to your talk, Smsarmad. Mlpearc (powwow) 20:45, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
You shouldn't be. You are always welcome here. --SMS Talk 15:06, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Battle of Jamrud

Hello. Could you have a look at Battle of Jamrud. User talk:Shahdaan Khan edited the page again and then it was updated by a bot. I don't know how to put the page back to how it was and I don't want to be accused of edit warring. Thanks. 86.169.208.209 (talk) 18:41, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Surely I will look at it as soon as I get sometime. In the meanwhile can you kindly tell me that do you have an account here? --SMS Talk 19:49, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

No. I always edit using an IP address. I guess I have got in the middle of something but I was just trying to fix the page. 86.169.208.209 (talk) 19:52, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

I thought I would ask you to have a look at the page, as you warned User talk:Shahdaan Khan about his edit on the page. Cheers. 86.169.208.209 (talk) 19:56, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Ok, an editor thinks you are a sockpuppet, so that is why I asked this. Anyways stay calm and give me an hour or so, I will get back to you. --SMS Talk 20:01, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
SMS, that IP is Nangparbat, kindly do not encourage him. Facts, not fiction (talk) 20:13, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Actually I doubt the Nangparbat part, though I don't rule out socking on this article. Anyways my concern is that the article should represent facts, and that I will do. I am not concerned with any editor here. --SMS Talk 20:20, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
It is Nang, no doubt. I have already reverted that article back to the pre sock version.[1] Facts, not fiction (talk) 20:28, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Is Nang the only person who edits from BT? If is it so, then why is not that range blocked? --SMS Talk 20:38, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
If you wish to proxy edits for a banned user as Mar4d recently has then there is not a lot I can do, entirely up to you. However given my extensive experience with Nang perhaps you should trust me? Facts, not fiction (talk) 20:41, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Are you sure Mar4d acted as a proxy for a banned editor? That is a serious accusation that needs to be checked. Besides if you think I am acting as a proxy for Nangparbat, please feel free to report me. I will do what I have committed. --SMS Talk 20:51, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
I know he restored Nangparbats edits[2] perhaps proxy is the wrong term, but do you not think it would be better not to encourage this sock? Who BTW is now blocked by BK as an obvious sock[3] of Nangparbat. Facts, not fiction (talk) 20:58, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Yes it would be better not to encourage any sock. Whoever blocked that, I still doubt this one, like another I did before which led me to write that essay. Anyways this should not be dealt this way, we need a change here, its getting problematic. --SMS Talk 21:12, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Actually I share your doubts on this one. The IP does not appear to be NP. Regardless, @DS: I take your baseless accusations against me of proxying seriously. Restoring an article to an approvable version is not proxing. You better back up your claims otherwise beware of WP:BOOMERANG. Mar4d (talk) 01:31, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
So, still think I was wrong? Good luck with your boomerang mar. I never reinstate a sock edit. Facts, not fiction (talk) 21:59, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

There is a discussion

There is a discussion here. Comment there, if you will. Mrt3366(Talk?) (New thread?) 19:01, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Would you like to close this? You got the first position so you get to close the page as an award. Probably we can open another contest in January next year and use a bot to deliver messages on noticeboard of all members in the project, this one wasn't well 'advertised'. Samar Talk 14:14, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Sorry for a little late reply, was little busy elsewhere. I have asked on the drive talkpage, if no one objects, I will close it. I created (actually stole from MILHIST) a template {{WPPAK Archive}} for the archived pages of the project, now it just needs to be added to the top of the page, so pages will be added to the relevant category. And yes we can start another drive sometime later (may be in January) when we all can actively participate or more active members join us. --SMS Talk 21:31, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
