Pakistan regional languages

Hello. I hope Pakistan recognises its regional languages, as a language enthusiast and lover of Punjabi, but AFAIK it doesn't. If this is indeed true, please give a source that actually outlines this official recognition, as all the census does is show the number of speakers of each language. No official status is shown in the source that was used. saɪm duʃan Talk|Contribs 07:46, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi Saim! it is recommended that when something is not in your knowledge and you find it unsourced in an article, put a {{Citation needed}} tag rather than removing the content. I see another editor has already updated the source, so I think the issue stands resolved. Happy editing! --SMS Talk 10:32, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Unforunately, the state.gov source is just as limited as the Pakistani Census in this regard. This time, instead of reverting, I added a {{Failed verification}} tag as per your advice. saɪm duʃan Talk|Contribs 14:36, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't see the page in detail, will try to find a source as soon as I get a little more time. Thanks --SMS Talk 16:14, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Revert

Hi! I was just going through by my watchlist and I saw that you reverted my edit. Can you please explain it in detail? :) ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 15:21, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Hello Vibhijain! Actually I think the text you removed was related to the subject of the article that is why I reverted. If a political party speaks against another country to gather support, it just means that they are promoting sentiment against that country that is (the sentiment) already present among the community. That is how I think it is related to the article, hope it helps. Regards! --SMS Talk 15:31, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, I have added some tags to it. :) ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 16:04, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Will try to address those tags whenever I get time. Btw the book mentions about 1990s. Nice to talk to you btw. :) --SMS Talk 16:14, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Merger

Hello Beland! May I ask you how you assessed about the consensus at the Merger discussion of Environmental issues in Siachen to Siachen Glacier? Cheers! --SMS Talk 09:00, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

With the support/oppose split 50/50, I read through the arguments. I found the arguments for merger persuasive, especially on context and subject overlap. It just seems like a poor user experience to have several articles that give you a piece of the picture, when a unified article puts each element in the context of the others without needing to navigate around. -- Beland (talk) 01:51, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Notifying good admin candidates

Hello Smsarmad. I noticed a comment at the RfA talk page where you stated: we should "find and nominate potential admins". And in particular that you know "many out there who can become good admins". I wanted to tell you of an essay tailored to that provision while also encouraging you to follow your inclination, and notify these potential candidates. Hopefully the essay, and its notification parameter will be helpful for you in this regard. Best - My76Strat (talk) 05:09, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks My76Strat for pointing to that essay! I will surely notify admans which I had in my mind while commenting there very soon and anyone else who I come across. Thanks again! --SMS Talk 12:37, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Page protection

Could you request semi-protection for Raja Pervaiz Ashraf? The article is mainly undergoing vandalism by IP addresses, would be better if the article is protected from IPs to reduce vandalism. Mar4d (talk) 03:13, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Requested and done. Admins took a little time. --SMS Talk 12:34, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Sherepunjab again?

Are you sure? I have little doubts. --SMS Talk 12:32, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Not really sure as the articles don't over lap, but the POV pushing is the same type... might be some one else. Let's wait on it. --lTopGunl (talk) 14:48, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

List of companies of Pakistan

You've done a stellar job keeping up with the list at List of companies of Pakistan; out of the hundred or so articles of that type I've combed through, this is one of two that were actually well maintained! Kuru (talk) 22:09, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks Kuru! Also saw you cleaning up a number of similar articles, will lend you a helping hand around these lists by adding a few of them on my watchlist. --SMS Talk 20:50, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
