Talkback

Hello, Smsarmad. You have new messages at Talk:Inter-Services Intelligence.
Message added 17:23, 1 January 2012 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Can you please explain when you have a moment why you think the section on terrorism needs rewriting. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:23, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on PAF Fazaia Degree College, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

There is no such college by this name. Previously they were PAF Degree College, <location> and now they are known as Fazaia Degree College, <location>. See Pakistan Air Force schools and colleges. So this page will never get a hit.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. SMS Talk 20:26, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Ok! now that is amusing! --SMS Talk 20:40, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Islamabad Highway, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Zero Point and Rawat (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Binary option

I see that you reverted removal of a "reference" to www.myforexspace.org from Binary option. I agree with the editor who removed it: it was not a citation for any content of the article, but rather a spam link masquerading as a reference. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:06, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Ah! I see now that you realised and acknowledged your mistake. All is fine. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:10, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
I first tried to revert my reversion that restored that spam link after finding out that it was spam but was late to do so. --SMS Talk 21:18, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Edit Reversion

Who the hell are you to decide what is useful and what is not? Just because something is not useful to you doesn't mean it is not useful to anyone. Don't judge people as if you are God. If you don't like reading something, stay away from the page. Goodbye. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.248.161.91 (talk) 18:35, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Your edit was clearly test edit and if you had read the my message on your talkpage you must have understood that Mainspace pages are not for testing and you need to use Sandbox for this purpose. If you have some problem or need any kind of help in understanding how to edit at Wikipedia you are welcome to ask me. --SMS Talk 19:12, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Warning levels

Hi, I'm wondering why you issued this "only warning" after the user had already received several warnings, including a final warning? Generally, if somebody has received a warning that tells them that they may be blocked if they continue, and then continues vandalising, it's safe to report them to WP:AIV without further notice (Twinkle contains a function to do this semi-automatically). Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:01, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

I did report the Anon to WP:AIV but probably Twinkle avoids duplicate entry as this anon was already reported there by User:Soliloquial. The anon continued to vandalize the article as you can see from the page history so I thought probably this only warning may stop him. --SMS Talk 20:10, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Vandalism warning

Why did you give me a vandalism warning over the Bose article? The article header appeared to have been messed up, and I was trying to reverting the offending edits. --Yaush (talk) 21:25, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

The warning message at your talk page is for editing test and not for vandalism as your edit clearly depicts that you were edit testing for whatever purpose. You are recommended as in the message at your talk page (which you removed rather than reading it carefully) to use sandbox for editing tests. --SMS Talk 21:34, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
To put it politely ... bull. Look carefully at the change logs for the article. You will find there were two unconstructive edits by user 120.61.8.62. My subsequent edit was a reversion of the second of these nonconstructive edits. I was then going to revert the first, restoring the last uncorrupted version of the article, but as I was doing so, your message came in saying you'd rolled back my edit as nonconstructive and put a message on my page.
Editors will sometimes trip over each other when they simultaneously try to revert the same unconstructive edit. I think that's what happened here. Please take a bit more care before leaving a vandalism tag, even a mild one, to be sure you've identified the right use as the vandal. --Yaush (talk) 23:14, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Again it was not a vandalism tag neither did I call your edits vandalism but I accept it was my mistake. Your edit apparently looked a test edit itself, probably undoing the first edit (if possible) or removing the text manually would have avoided this. --SMS Talk 08:07, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Indophobia

You made some objections at the article Indophobia in Pakistan, it has been merged into Indophobia per consensus. This article however is now over shadowed with information about Pakistan making it undue, since you were involved in both articles, a little help in the post merge clean up will do. I'm not sure whether to strip subsections from that or to summarize. Thanks. --lTopGunl (talk) 03:38, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for informing me! Actually my watchlist is messed up so I am unable to follow most of the discussions I participated. Besides I am also busy in real life so couldn't give enough time to Wikipedia (though I continue to do minor edits and reverting vandalism). I think summarizing each subsection related to Pakistan is a better idea. If you want me to do it, it will take sometime. --SMS Talk 13:31, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
No problem. I think you had a better insight of the issues as you presented them on the talk page and can fix this better, no issues since there's no deadline. I'll help in what ever I can. --lTopGunl (talk) 23:33, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
I am also waiting for AshLin's reply because I prefer taking him in confidence, since it is a controversial issue and may attract some pov pushers and trollers. --SMS Talk 21:58, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
I guess he's ignored it or missed it since he was discussing the consensus at the closer's talk page while this was on. --lTopGunl (talk) 00:47, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
  • I've started a new subsection at the article talk and invited AshLin per your suggestion. I suggest we proceed with the clean ups there... no issues with the slow progress since you give the wiki less time. --lTopGunl (talk) 00:52, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
    • I informed AshLin of the section, but he didn't respond there... I guess the only way to find out about objections is WP:BRD. --lTopGunl (talk) 13:39, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
You are right we need to move on after trying fairly enough times to contact the other interested editor. --SMS Talk 13:46, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

In response to your edit of article Alpha,

Yes, that is exactly what I was hoping to see added. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.114.255.83 (talk) 13:36, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Karachi modification

Hello

Yes, I actually removed the content, as there was misleading information, stated that, Karachi has 7 million Pashtuns, when I clicked on the citation-link, I could not find actual-data, in more precise words there was no mention of population statistics there. Please review it yourself and delete it. I follow rules and regulations of Wikipedia, and I have been an avid fan of Encyclopedia since my young age, I would not tolerate misleading information, grammar-errors, and many such things. Total unbiased approach, and genuine information, are few of my motives to modify Wikipedia with, please accept my request to review the section of Karachi that you restored recently.

(Indusengineer (talk) 05:56, 24 January 2012 (UTC))

You are right the source didn't say completely what was written there. I have done some changes to make the text consistent with the source, you can review it and tell me if it is correct. --SMS Talk 11:59, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

No probs

Sometimes we miss on Twinkle! It happens. Keep up the good work though -- Samir 04:31, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
