Song to the Siren (Tim Buckley song)

The lyrics were the only thing in the article, so unfortunately that cannot be restored due to copyright issues. You can write about the song itself, but you can't include the lyrics unless you are quoting a small part for purposes of analysis. You would also need to show how the song is notable — for example if it was released as a single and appeared on a major chart. Hope this helps, ... discospinster _talk 16:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Liverpool pages

Thanks for your suggestion, I am still somewhat a novice not enough time to work on the rules. With citations where does it start how many are required? I don't know how to link them. Hi. Yes, all I changed were those few terminal periods in the caption non-sentences. Liverpool

Please see WP:PLACE#Counties of Britain. The infobox is solely for the current city info so historic county has no place in there. It is acceptable to mention that it was historically in Lancashire within the lead section of the article but not in the infobox. See the third paragraph of Manchester for an example of what is acceptable and notice there is no mention of Lancs in the infobox. ^┌_Joshii^┐_└^chat_┘ 02:28, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Dr. dre article.

Hi. Sorry about mentioning that the Jerome Young death was "off-topic" by using the "coat rack" essay to illustrate my point. I do remember reading about it in Ronin Ro's Dr. Dre: The Biography book, but I can't verify it because I don't have a copy of the book near me now, and the book isn't on Google Books. Would you mind if I

started a Jeff Buckley discography article? That way the discography tables, unreleased songs and tributes can all be transferred wholesale there, making the parent Jeff Buckley much more concise and less listy. We'll then add a {{main}} template and leave only the studio albums at the parent article. Honestly, I don't know a lot about Jeff Buckley; I just saw his article at GAC and thought it was very good. I felt it could be easily made better by just shifting stuff to make it concise. As for your questions:

• The band/musician article, ie Jeff Buckley, should only contain a list of his studio labums and their year of release. (like the articles I pointed out above). I guess that would be Grace and My Sweetheart.
• Discography articles normally make any mention of reissues and re-releases, because they are never really that important as compared to the original record. So just the additional track-listing at the album's article is enough.
• yeah the tribute songs can be deleted (since they don't belong at his discog as they aren't by him). I think unreleased recordings would be fine at the discog since Nirvana discography has such a section.
• the documentaries don't seem to notable so they can be deleted as well. Amazing Grace is already mentioned in the article.
• I think the Live at Sin-e articles should be merged. indopug (talk) 18:20, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Jose Mourinho

Please note the user was already advised by me, and all he did was just to reinsert the same exact content with no summary explanation at all. As an experienced football editor, I know for good in cases like these there are only two possible explanations: either he did not read the talk page or, as it happens more frequently, he just read and ignored it, and then kept on making his edits. I know I should WP:AGF, in fact I did it, so I made him notice he was including a paragraph of unencyclopedic content. In addition he made very similar edits to other articles, such as Juliano Belletti. [2] Edits like these, by the way, definitely worsen the article quality, as we lose time in writing Manuals of Style and discussing months on how to write a good quality or a featured article. --Angelo (talk) 19:37, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I learned Atari programming, then html coding ... and there are only so many years left and I just can't get excited about learning a new coding when there is so much to learn that is really important to mankind... And, it is true, I seldom visit or post here often enough to learn much of anything except that my cardiologist says that it is BAD for my heart. ...laughing... Thank you... maybe I'll look for a photo someday... but I rather doubt it. Wiki is for a certain type of personality and I'm simply not that kind --- (thick-skinned, gaming-oriented and (in some cases) control freaks). Re: music samples

Yeah, I think that's good advice. I have (so far) uploaded a grand total of one sound file, and it was a single from Jordin Sparks' debut album. I don't know if that meets the "iconic" part of the Wikipedia:Music samples guideline, but I asked on the copyright help desk if they thought my fair use rationale was sufficient, and they said they thought it was fine. JB GA

Great work on bringing the Jeff Buckley article up to GA standards! Most of the work I put into it was while sitting in a cafe, snowed in for a couple days, revisiting Jeff's music and story which I hadn't thought much about for years. My motivation was just to have a bio out there that covered his earlier years, which the ones online didn't, and that wasn't written by Sony. I kind of stalled out after that. I'm glad you came along and finished it and brought the article up to the level it deserves to be. FA might require verifying the periodical sources from the originals rather than web reprints and getting the JB estate to make some free use pictures available. I agree that a majority of people know his stuff more from the posthumous releases anymore, so the suggestion of adding more about those is a good one. Thanks for your note Sillyfolkboy. As you say this editor is obssessed with placing death info in articles and infoboxes. I keep seeing his/her edits at the page for Oliver Reed and then track down any other pages that he/she altered. Unfortunately, since the IP always changes it makes it difficult to warn them or report them as a problem editor. We will just have to keep changing their edits back when the time comes. 86.42.183.1 has been edit warring on the Burl Ives article this evening so I've reported him to WP:AN/3RR. Hopefully someone there can stop him. He's also added a couple of Burl Ives covers to song articles. I'm not sure how accurate the information is so I'm going to remove it just to be on the safe side. Hi Sillyfolkboy, I noticed your post Dmcm2008 talk page and just wanted to ensure you the Wigan comment did not upset anyone. I did not phrase my question regarding "even Wigan" on the Skem discussion page very well and it may have appeared confrontational, if it did I apologise. In all the time I have been editing on Wiki I have never upset or offended another editor and have no desire to start doing so. I live in the Orrell area of Wigan and have several friends in Skem and was interested by your point regarding some peoples lack of self identification solely as 'Skemmers'. Many who were born in Liverpool themselves see themselves, rightly so, as scousers and it is interesting to note that in the Wigan area at least, when referring to someone from Skem, who talks with a scouse accent, many will use the phrase 'scouser' rather than 'Skemmer' (even though the person being referred to was born in Ormskirk or Billinge Hospital !). The fact is, since there is a main article on Blake's influence on popular culture, the section in the main article should be kept brief and only include the most important and relevant examples. PR experiment

Dear Sillyfolkboy, I'm writing in hopes of enlisting your aid in a four-month experiment at Peer Review (PR). The success of the experiment will depend on finding at least 10 editors willing to review at least one article a week through the end of October 2008. The experiment will employ a streamlined review process designed to insure that every nominator who seeks a review gets one and that reviewers do not waste time doing long reviews for nominators who do not respond to an initial short review.

The way it works is this: (1) Choose any article at Peer Review that lacks a review. Wikipedia:Peer reviews by date, especially the backlog list, is still a good place to find such articles. (2) Provide a short partial review based on your initial observations and wait to see if the nominator responds. Examples of short reviews can be found at Wikipedia:Peer review/Foreign relations of India/archive1 and Wikipedia:Peer review/Ed Stelmach/archive1. (3) If the nominator does not respond, the review is done. (4) If the nominator responds, continue the review as you see fit.

The experiment will require no noticeable administration. However, if you plan to participate, it would be helpful if you posted a brief note to Wikipedia talk:Peer review to that effect.

At the end of October, we can see how the experiment turned out and whether this process or some modification of it could sustain Peer Review permanently with minimal backlogs. If you can help, that would be great. If not, that's perfectly OK. We are all tremendously busy with a lot of different projects.

I have chosen to write to you in part because you've done peer reviews from the backlog during the past four months. Please forgive the form-letter nature of this note, which is more efficient than a personal note. Pronunciation of Steven

Hello. I got the IPA from the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary via a widget downloaded here, which is sadly no longer available. The instructions to download the material where within the download, and you had to go to a special site (probably here) to download the dictionary which was freely available, then run the widget to install the dictionary. Hi. Right after you messaged me the first time I looked at the OED for steven. The word steven appears eight times, and none refer to a forename as in the OALD. Those eight steven refer to old words that have fallen into disuse. Regarding steven at dictionary.reference.com, it says it comes from the Random House Dictionary of the English Language, which is an American English dictionary. Dylan referencing

If you think there are major points in the article which are unsubstantiated by a reference, could you not indicate this with a {citation neeeded} comment, or raise a more specific question on the Talk page? Not sure I agree with you. A glance at other FAs suggests to me that some do not have footnotes as rigorous as Bob Dylan. You write:

Song titles are in inverted commas, "Mr Tambourine Man", albums and films are italicized, Blonde On Blonde, I'm Not There. Please have a look & fix if you think article is in bad shape! Last FA review revolved around the question whether there were sufficient citation/references, as you can see: [[3]] My personal opinion is level of footnotes is still high. (Maybe I'm biased!) Today I deleted an alleged Dylan "quote" I think is not valid, see [[4]]. Thanks for reply. If your aim is to provide more consistent & detailed footnotes, I can't argue with that! Interesting you mention Chronicles. I think Volume One is fascinating but it is a work by Dylan, I can't help feeling parts of it are borderline fiction, but written in an inspired way. His account of Ray Gooch and Chloe Kiel is fascinating, but did these people exist? I don't think any other account of Greenwich Village in 1961 mentions them! I suspect they are a 'composite' (as Marcus Carl Franklin says in I'm Not There), a pen portrait of an imaginary couple who embody Dylan's sense of the Village scene in the early 1960s. best, Mick gold (talk) 07:33, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello there! Thanks for the contact. I'm struggling to keep up with what is legitimate content and what isn't with regards to the areas and suburbs of Liverpool. They have been tampered with on so many occations on different pages I simply can't remember where the discussion was that listed the districts and gave the source.

So long as the areas are within the City of Liverpool (proper), i.e. the modern metropolitan borough, I don't think we'll have a problem. Hello, I'm the guy that wrote an article on the Tim Buckley song Phantasmagoria in Two and, being very new to this, I just wanted to write to thank you for your advice. I wrote the article primarily because it is in fact my favourite song although I was always worried that it might be deleted due to its relative "insignificance", something which, were I permitted to be at all biased I would describe as something more like a quite remarkable lack of recognition. So, thank you very much for not deleting it and I will bare your advice in mind if I ever feel the urge to write about any of his other songs (which is pretty much guaranteed to happen at some point soon). Just out of curiosity however, I would like to ask what exactly the benefit is of including the song description in the album article rather than giving it an article of its own. If it is, as I assume, down to the lack of content on the album article, then I would be happy to increase that content (for Goodbye and Hello at least) by researching its notable features - such as the recording circumstances, the public perception, etc - and describing its various styles and themes. Don't worry, it's understandable: your mistake was to confuse the base 60 with the base 10 (or decimal) system. This is what happens when you measure 1 minute in 60 seconds, 1 second in 100 milliseconds, 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, 16 ounces to the pound, 14 pounds to the stone, and the list goes on... The Mayans did things a lot more accurately but their way of measuring time and dates was so complex that it can easily boggle the human mind! Don't worry about it, it's as confusing as the fact that dividing 10 by 0.8 gives you 12.5... Put that in your calculator! Sillyfolkboy (talk) 07:52, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Skip Spence

Why were the external links in the Skip Spence page deleted? Dale Ockerman and Keith Graves don't have Wikipedia pages, so I thought this was a way to provide some form of supplementary reference. Also, there is no "Land of the Sun" Wikipedia page as referenced to the Skip Spence single, so again an external link was provided. Am I missing something here in relation to Wikipedia protocol? I'm somewhat new at this.

Here are two of the specific links I wanted to make. Both relate to what appear to be personal photos uploaded to personal sites, so all I believe I am doing is directing the reader to legally uploaded images elsewhere. Going to all of the Google images of Skip Spence doesn't result in these pictures being as readily referenced. In my view, they are quite important since Skip Spence was homeless and, apparently, largely unphotographed (or photographed largely out of the public domain) for most of his later years. I'm certainly not going to upload these photos, based on how I now understand Wikipedia's policy to be (thank you again here), but I do believe these links are important. I won't restore them if you consider otherwise. Please let me know. Sorry for not signing the earlier missive.

Well i thought I'd try it out but it appears another user also doesn't think it fits with wikipedia policy. They should be left out of the article. However you can try to contact Paul Berenson himself and see if he'll release the photo with an appropriate license for wikipedia (Like creative commons or similar). I will respect the opinions, though it still strikes me that if I am redirecting a reader to an external site where the pictures are clearly owned by the site owner, then all I am doing is linking externally without breaching the site owner's copyright. It would seem that I am also promoting the photographs on the external site, which would be more welcomed than seeking permission for him to waive all rights by uploading to Wikipedia. Any second or third thoughts here appreciated, though I will leave the matter in relation to Skip Spence. Alas.

Many thanks for your further explanation of Wikipedia approaches to the use of photographs. I wish there were some way to generally encourage people with photograph ownership rights to upload the photos to Wikipedia Commons, under restricted license (such as restricted to Wikipedia publication). In the music category, I have found very few images that are in the Commons. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but the only photo I found from 1967 was a Library of Congress photo of Pete Seeger. It would seem that most artists would benefit from uploading a few photos under restricted license.

Mike Kowalski--drummer--bio edit

Thanks for taking the time to visit, correct, and comment on the work I'm doing with Mike Kowalski's biography page.

I was visiting drummer pages, saw Mike Kowalski's then compared it to other drummer pages. Having heard Mike play many times, and knowing some of his history from hanging out with muscians and film people in LA years ago, I thought he deserved a better Wikipedia entry (what was up there was horrible). I read what I could online then emailed him to ask for some more information. He was happy to oblige. I love Wikipedia, use it a lot for many reason, and am happy to contribute.

As I get older (I'm 60 now) I hope to spend more time making and editing Wikipedia entries. So, I'm happy to learn more.

I got rid of a couple of the problems you mentioned. I got his permission as per Requesting copyright permission, and have sent his reply by email to wikimedia according to their directions. It will be interesting to see how long that takes.

I can see where the list of acts is problematic. The thing is, from my perspective, part of Kowalski's fame is all those names he's played with. I can communicate with him to get some additional information about them (when did he play with them, where did he play with them, did he record with them). But that seems to be problematic in itself because it may fall into the category of "original research" and I'm guessing that's not proper.

So, again regarding the list, where's the blurry line with citations?

My next little project on wikipedia will be with Restorative justice. I've got a lot of interest in that area, not much expertise but I can do some grammar and fact checking maybe.

Hi. Compared with the version that was tagged as excessive use of non-free images, the current version still carries the same amount of copyrighted materials. The only difference is that the separate images are now grouped together, in a slightly smaller scale. I don't think this has addressed the problem. Hmm, I still don't view it that way. First, the second image is certainly new, but it illustrates the same characters. Second, though individual character image is in smaller scale, the group image is much bigger than the old separate images. So I think the amount of copyrighted materials remains the same, just like it doesn't make any difference when we alternate between two different images of the same character. That would help, but wouldn't solve the problem entirely, because the copyrighted material used in the character images that we're referring to is essentially the character's designs. A group image therefore still contains a large amount of non-free materials. In general, I might say, using non-free images for the sole purpose of identifying minor characters is discouraged. I assume the characters here are minor, as they don't seem to merit separate articles. So I'm inclined to have all non-free images for them removed. But considering I'm not familiar with the subject, I think I'd better just leave the tag there. I hope you reconsider the importance of characters, and unless strictly necessary, please don't use a non-free image. In any case, if images are (desperately) needed to illustrate a noteworthy aspect of the characters, a group image in low-resolution and limited size would be the best. :) Best wishes, --PeaceNT (talk) 16:56, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi. :) I'm aware of that point from WP:NONFREE, which is why I supported "a group image in low-resolution and limited size" above. What I'm concerned about is that, unlike the small cast shot on Lost series article, the new image on VG Cats is quite as big as all the old individual images combine. The cited sentence in the guideline is I think based on the policy that requires limiting the usage of non-free content, but replacing a few small images with a noticeably bigger one seems to defeat that purpose. Also, it's clear that the author just literally grouped the individual images together; this new picture isn't the same as, say, a lucky shot of a scene with all characters appearing at the same time. I'm unsure if this form of grouping is really preferable per WP:NONFREE. Just my 2 cents. :) I do not follow WP:NONFREE discussions regularly so it's likely that my interpretation of this policy may be mistaken. Do you have any idea how to get more feedback? Yes, it was a compliment. :) I read the article when it was up for GAC and quite enjoyed it. Book references definitely don't hurt during FAC, but you're absolutely correct about the issue of trust. With Google Books, Net Library and other online suppositories making printed sources more available, however, this might not be an issue in the future. I always think it's a shame when people rely needlessly on internet sources, especially on literature-related articles, you know? If Shakespeare's article only used news articles and online study guides, it wouldn't be nearly as impressive. Then again, maybe that's just my bookish tendencies speaking... LFC squad numbers

Whenever Liverpool select non-numbered players in pre-season friendlies, they are given these artificial, high numbers on the squad page (they are not used in the actual matches, which are 1-11), presmuably as some sort of database requirement. This has been going on for the past few years (see [5] this from last year), and they are always wiped out by the time the season starts in earnest. Usually Liverpool announce official squad numbers as news items, so unless that happens or they're seen in an actual competitive match, I'd advise cauton. Thanks, the proposal had been discussed for weeks and series of tests suggested at {{cite web/sandbox}}. But the use of "date" for not a date value but text had not occured to us. "Undated" is a valid entry (as opposed to the field being blank perhpas because an editor had not bothered to complete the information). My next tilt at FA will be Bert Trautmann, but lately RL business has limited my editing. I'd addressed or attempted to address all the points raised in the Kinkladze FAC, though since the nomination closed the image of Kinkladze has been deleted from Commons - questionably IMO, some anomaly with the OTRS submission apparently. Hi Sillyfolkboy, thanks for the nice note. I like your idea of making every citation count! I wish I knew how to do it... for example, on a recent article Zelda Fitzgerald, on which I worked, the main sources were a couple very good biographies. Both my article and the biographies moved through Zelda's life chronologically, and rather than a single note saying as much I ended up with an article that looked like:

Zelda Fitzgerald was born on her birthday<ref>Kline, p. 1; Milford, p.1</ref>. She grew up in Alabama.<ref>Kline, p.2; Milford, p.3</ref> She met F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1918.<ref>Kline, p.3; Milford, p.4</ref>

Almost the whole article looks like that, because they are the only two biographies of her. Ends up a bit silly, in my opinion! If we didn't have to include so many citations, it'd be easier to make the good ones stand out. When an article has hundreds of footnotes, nobody reads them anymore. An unfortunate casualty of that is that we lose the ability to give readers encyclopedic information in the footnotes! --JayHenry (talk) 05:11, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Jeff Buckley range question

Hi Sillyfolkboy, you asked me about Jeff Buckley's range a few months ago (I haven't been very active on Wikipedia lately!) To refresh your memory:
"I'm going to just add to the controversy but i want to tell a musician's point of view. The lowest note i have Buckley hitting on record is a G2 on "Phantasmagoria in Two" from the Tim Buckley tribute and why are people saying Buckley hits an Eb6 on "Gunshot Glitter"? Isn't it an Eb5? Maybe people are confused over guitar being notated an octave higher on sheet music, or that he jumps in to falsetto? Not sure about your musical knowledge but an Eb5 is either 11 fret on the high e4 string or two Eb's above the middle C3. Which gives him just short of a 3 three octave range. Not bad, comparable to Roy Orbison and Tim Buckley and better than Pavarotti. Just there happens to be a bit of an exaggeration contest over this, plus various hacks thinking G2-A6 is 4 octaves and confusion between standard american and european notation (european is counted one number lower). Sorry for the essay. Tell me what you think."
The high note in "Gunshot Glitter" is definitely an Eb6; it's extremely high and sung in falsetto. Eb6 is a little over two octaves above middle C, because middle C in scientific pitch notation is C4 (which would be notated as C5 in guitar sheet music), not C3. The GG note is indeed very high for Jeff-- nearly an octave higher than the lovely E5 at the end of "Corpus Christi Carol", though not nearly as strong.
If he hits G2 in "Phantasmagoria in Two" (I haven't heard the song but would like to), this would make his range 3 octaves and eight semitones, closing in on 4. But his upper and lower extremes were very rarely exploited, as I already rambled about on the original talk page. I would say the GG note is a fluke and so I would lean more toward your almost-three-octaves measurement.
I don't know if it's fair to compare Pavarotti's range with the Buckleys' since the latter had microphones and didn't have to project over a 110-piece orchestra. :) Classical singers' ranges are limited to the notes they can fill an opera house with; off the stage you'll find a lot of them can get into the weird stratospheric notes too.

Bolt

I looked very briefly around the article when I reverted the one date, and most of them seemed to be in US format, so I just changed the only one I noticed in the opposite format. I have no opinion either way. I'm from Canada where we 'allegedly' use both, but I've never seen anyone ever write a date in 20 January 2008 format here. As long as one format is stuck to, I don't really care either way. It should probably be Jamaica standard, but I don't really know what that is, not being from there.

I'm not really an atheletics editor; I just was fascinated by Bolt, checked his article out, and started making changed; particularly once I realized it was going to take a big vandalism/'put every little fact in we can find' hit. I'll take a quick look at that article though, and see if I can improve it at all.

There is no hardfast rule as to what a "lead" should include for any article, but WP:Lead is the style guideline. I would say that the Lead for an article should basically be... if you wipe out the rest of the article, it should still answer the question "Who/What is [topic]?", and "What makes [topic] notable?" to someone who has never heard of the topic before. That is all the lead should do, in my opinion. It should not summarize the career of the person - that's what the article is for. If one thinks that one of Bolt's his major accomplishments is that he won the whatever junior championship used to be mentioned in the lead (even in light of his more overshadowing olympic wins), then perhaps it belongs there. I personally felt that his junior wins no longer are the wins that define his career anymore.

Hi, I understand what you did (and would like to do), but the fact is that most articles (rock stars, businessmen, politicians, what have you) start off with more personal detail. Please take a look at Michael Phelps or Sting or Bill Gates or Hillary Rodham Clinton, and you'll see that the person's early life really does deal with biographical details and not immediately about his achievements. After summarizing Bolt's achievements in the lead, why can't we start off with a small bio and then move right in to Bolt's amateur and professional careers? Hi, I see that the "Early life" section was reinstated and I agree that the "Personal life" should also stay where it is. You definitely have the makings of a feature article here, so I don't think you should give up on trying to copy the style shown in other famous-persons articles. Really, all the "Early life" section needs is more descriptive detail of Bolt's family history to make it interesting and informative. I'm sure there are now good biographical articles about Bolt in Sports Illustrated, Track and Field, and other sports magazines which you can reference. In truth, I am not a sports fan at all, but after Bolt won those Olympic medals I clicked on Wikipedia to read about him and that's how I got involved with these edit suggestions. From what I've read on the article, it seems quite comprehensive to me. Even if you are working on it, I assume there won't be major changes in its format& composition, which I believe don't fall under the satability issue (i.e. detailing and refining are not stability related). And since the article is not controversial, the stability criteria should be passed. I'll have this page under my watchlist and i will try to give some help if necessary, but don't forget that once you are pleased with the article, you can submit it for wp:FAC (after the GAN is done). Comment on Dwain Chambers FAC

In all honesty, you picked a bad time to seek promotion. Things at FAC have slowed to a crawl recently, and the number of candidates has hovered around 50, as opposed to the usual 40; as a result, anything without support won't stay up long. If I could change anything with Chambers, I would have spent less time on BALCO and more on prose, my reason for opposing. I never finished checking the prose, so I didn't feel comfortable striking my oppose. I should have done another prose check, but I'm having trouble keeping up with everything I review. I don't know how it happened, but what I origionally said was edited out. Basically I gave you the Tireless Contributor's barnstar in hope that you would replace the Origional barnstar I gave you a while back. Reason being I thought the latter was a better way of showing recognition to your work on Usain Bolt. finish line?

I seem to recall seeing one of those slit-image finish-line photographs on wikipedia, but I don't see it in any article I can think of where I might have seen it. I figure it may have been copyright and was removed, but do you recall seeing such an image anywhere on wikpedia? I'm looking to add it to the fully automatic time article (and perhaps the photo finish article as well), but I would assume it's not the kind of image that would exist as free-use. Concealed links

Hi, thanks for your feedback about 'years-in-xxxx'. Links are not in articles so that the linked article can survive. They are only there as a help to the reader. If you conceal the link, the reader won't know it is there. The film, music, and aircraft projects are all thinking of deprecating these concealed links. Now the Manual of Style is thinking of addressing the issue. Have you seen the alternative suggestions at: Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style_(dates_and_numbers)#Concealed_links? Intro

Alrite mate, Hope your well.

Just a quick query about the inclusion of references in article introductions. Given the intro is a summary of the main body of text I wondered what the standard was on Wikipedia, if there even is one? Some articles seem to include them, others don't and I can't find anything in the wiki help articles. Any thoughts?

Hate to be a pain but I have another query. I've found an image here [8] that will be I think will be useful for the Albert Dock article. Drogba and Tebily

Hi, I wish that last time I removed the Olivier Tébily myth from the Didier Drogba article, I'd posted a version of the reason to the article talk instead of just to the relevant editor's talk, would have saved everybody the trouble. However, ...

Disappointingly, the writer of this article from The Times, or his lazy researcher, appears to have sourced the background stuff for the piece from Wikipedia. At the time (e.g. the 26 Dec 2006 version), the Wiki article did contain the "fact" that Drogba and Tébily are cousins, for which the only evidence appears to be that they share a family name.

The player's official site makes no mention of Tébily, nor does it mention another move after returning to his parents at Antony, near Paris, as a 15-year-old. The Levallois club which Drogba joined was the local professional club, based only a few miles from Antony. The Times article says that Tébily was at Chateauroux when Drogba was supposed to be living with him. In 1993, Tébily wasn't a professional player, and he didn't join Chateauroux until five years later; he was a 17-year-old boy in the youth academy at Niort[9] (some 400km from Drogba's Paris suburban club, which would be a hellofa long way for him to go to training after school).
