Your signature[edit]

Hi, would you mind fixing your signature? It should link to your user/talk page. You can do so at Special:Preferences. Thank you! 15 (talk) 19:33, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @15 Did I fix it correctly? Is this why I was unable to talk to other users correctly? (talk) 05:29, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Michael chan.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Michael chan.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 01:45, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Where can I send a photo to be evaluated to see if it open source? Where can I submit proof of copyright from the owner, for all the photos I would like to upload in the future? Do I need to email them? (talk) 06:47, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Michael chan.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, you may be blocked from editing. Amigao (talk) 23:15, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are disruptive editing this is your second warning in good faith. I am making the page accurate, neutral and based on WP:BLPSELFPUB and no unproven libel. You are posting inappropriate photos, vandalizing the page and removing facts from the governments website. You are biased and clearly other people have reported you for doing the same thing. Why are you posting libel? Please take note of WP:BLPSPS and WP:BLPSELFPUB .blocked from editing. This page will continue to be edited with facts. Not cited by articles which were subject to lawsuits. Sigma58 23:33, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Kinu t/c 00:54, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
information Note: There's a bunch of broken code in this section and I don't know what's going on. See edit history for missing replies, weird refactoring, etc. --Kinu t/c 01:17, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@KinuHello!
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am not edit warring. @Kinu please help. If anyone simply looks at my citations they will see that everything I have included is published by government, the public figures self published biography on several websites. Other users ficed my citations which I thanked them for. Unfortunetly, @Amigao is undoing my revisions and engaging in war editing. The template I created deserves page protection. @Amigao has not provided any valid grounds for why all my edits are being undone and has made no attempts to ensure content is relevant, not inflammatory or neutrally presented. @Amigao has purposely reverted back to inflammatory content that was disproven and even subject to a lawsuit. @Amigao reverted back to an unflattering image not relevant to the position the public figure had and not professional by any means. I made the page look substantially better and neutral. I asked they not include libel information that goes against Wiki policy's. I noticed this page had been historically vandalized and became progressively biased. For that reason I did in depth research and fixed it all. Unfortunetly I do not know how to use code in the sophisticated way that the people who are actually engaging in edit waring against my posts are acting. They also accused me of being paid when I am not, but I did seek consent and found the image in an open source. Wiki is not supposed to be a tabloid and that is what @Amigao turned that page into

Decline reason:

What you're doing is the very definition of edit warring. Not a single article talk page edit from you. Content disagreements are not vandalism, and your accusations of libel constitute legal threats. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 14:15, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Kinu Can you please let me know what was wrong with my edit on Deb Schulte? I always try to have a neutral POV and only publish what was said directly from the source. She is no longer the Minister of Seniors. I was updating her page. I was trying to include her future plans and other things the article from CBC cited. Please let me know what was wrong with it! Please help me Sigma58 02:53, 28 October 2021 (UTC) WP:AN
First thing you need to do is fix your signature. See WP:CUSTOMSIG for suggestions; right now, it just shows up as a talk page link with no username. Regarding your question on my talk page: "I publish my rational in the notes when I edit a post" is, as I suggest above, not sufficient. You must use the article talk page as soon as there are disagreements regarding your posts. The edit summaries are not for discourse, they are for brief information about the particular edit. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 17:08, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Jpgordon thank you I think understand that I need to use the articles talk page. Not my own talk page that I am currently responding to you on? Can you also confirm if the signature has been rectified? (talk) 04:03, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Signature still broken. You'll want to discuss Michael Chan (Canadian politician) at Talk:Michael Chan (Canadian politician), for example. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 04:12, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jpgordon Wow! Thank you so much! I just discovered what you were referring to. Is my signature working now? If I write in the talk post, how long do I have to wait before undoing an reversion? Usually I am really reasonable and flexible, but when it seems like someone is vandalizing the page, I get concerned there is an underlying motive there. (talk) 04:18, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, the signature still doesn't work. And you wait until you get WP:CONSENSUS before undoing a reversion. If it actually is WP:VANDALISM, that's another issue, but content disputes are not vandalism. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 05:35, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @Jpgordon! @Kinu has been very kind and helpful on his talk page. I will try my best to follow all of your feedback. I added 4 of these ~ symbols at the end of my sentence. When I do that, Wiki states that I do not need to because my signature will be added automatically. I tried to follow @15 mentioned above about my signature. Let me try again (talk) 06:41, 9 November 2021 (UTC) (talk) 06:41, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jpgordon How about now? Is the signature working? ([[User talk:Sigma58|talk]]) (talk) 06:46, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
