{helpme} On the SIDS Page, References 26 and 27 are the same and 73 and 75 are the same. How can I clean them up by giving them the same reference number?Sidsmaven (talk) 23:59, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You need two braces to activate the {{helpme}} template, but I saw you editing at Sudden infant death syndrome. Good work. To use the same reference in multiple places, see WP:REFNAME; instead of <ref>reference text</ref>, you use <ref name="$_NAME">reference text</ref> for the first instance and <ref name="$_NAME" /> for all further instances. There are also a number of citation templates that are handy for consistency of formatting. Even better, you can use {{cite pmid}} and {{cite doi}} to have the reference text autogenerated for papers that are identified in this way. See this for usage. It is by no means necessary, just useful. Good luck. - 2/0 (cont.) 01:45, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A reference is needed for the most recent addition to SIDS Cheers Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:28, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A few comments[edit]

We have a couple of guidelines about referencing here WP:MEDRS and formatting WP:MEDMOS here. The important bit is we usually use only review articles to properly reference an article rather than primary research articles. Let me know if you have any questions. Futura Publishing seems to be a self-publishing house, with no editorial control for accuracy and/or correctness. I suggest that you try to find books from more reputable editorials. --Enric Naval (talk) 21:20, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
