October 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Hindu Makkal Katchi. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! 220 of Borg 06:36, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm 220 of Borg. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Hindu Makkal Katchi ‎, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 220 of Borg 06:41, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For page protection[edit]

Make a request in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection Perumalism Chat 18:14, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I've noticed that a number of times you've been adding page protection templates to the above page (two such examples - [1][2]). Please note that this does not protect the page, nor send a protection request. This simply adds the icon at the top that is usually added to protected pages. Only administrators can protect pages. Consequently, you may have noticed that a bot is systematically reverting these additions of yours. The H. Raja page is indeed facing quite a bit of vandalism, and if you wish to see the page protected, please follow the instructions to add a request to the page: Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. At that page, an administrator will consider protecting the page based on your report. Thanks. –72 (talk) 17:38, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I believe Wikipedia is not a place to air your biased views and false information. You have just removed one of the election result from H Raja page without any reason. It is quite obvious that you removed that particular row because the person in question got very few votes. Please do not try to suppress any information just because that it is not convenient to you. I have done proper changes with citations. Let me know if you find any misinformation in my edit.

Dear Shreerenga, You are continuously reverting my changes. This is obviously an attempt to suppress the information which I have published with proper citation. I want wikipedia to be unbiased. Please behave in a matured manner. Regards Robin — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robin7013 (talkcontribs) 06:48, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

November 2017[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to List of Indian Christians, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to H. Raja, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 07:03, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shreerenga,

Though you were given warning by Wikipedia admin still you are not stopping your childish activities in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._Raja page. Please read wikipedia policies or at least read other wiki pages regarding politicians. Do not make wikipedia as political stage. It should be unbiased and informative. Do not add irrelevant and false information.

Regards Robin

Thank you for your contribution. We don't write Introduction if it's the only section. In this Wikipedia an introduction is called a lead (lede).Xx236 (talk) 08:42, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited H. Raja, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page DMK (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:29, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reg. Wikipedia page of H.Raja[edit]

The information provided in the 'introductory part and personal details section' of the Wikipedia page of 'H.Raja' claims that the person belongs to 'Palkar' or 'Sourashtra' community of Brahmin caste. The information is untrue as Sourashtra community is listed under OBC category and approved by Govt of Tamil Nadu. Thus it requires citation or support from reliable source as evidence that the person belongs to that community. Kindly provide the same. Thank You. Kongugirl (talk) 05:55, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In "personal details" section too such untrue information is noticed. Kindly edit the same. Kongugirl (talk) 05:58, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article T. Narayanan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources to indicate notability, despite the infobox he does not appear to hold any official government political office.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 19:21, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:R. Srinivasan[edit]

Hello, Shreerenga. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "R. Srinivasan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. » Shadowowl | talk 19:04, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
