Contributions to Hal Bidlack

As you've identified yourself as Hal Bidlack, I wanted to direct you to the Wikipedia guidelines regarding autobiographical contributions, in case you haven't seen them already. (Also, the biography of living persons policy applies—in particular, this section.)

Wikipedia gets a fair number of editors who write autobiographical articles as a method of self-aggrandizement, so please forgive the tone of some of those rules. I trust that you're not engaging in any of that, but I would nevertheless recommend that you err on the side of caution when writing about yourself. In particular, it's best to include information that would be available through reliable, independent sources such as media outlets, books or official documents, because facts that rely only upon your personal knowledge wouldn't be verifiable.

If you suspect that something you're planning to add to the article might not be sufficiently verifiable, or might be controversial, try posting it to the article's talk page first, to gauge other editors' reactions to it.
