Thanks for reverting my page --Jaranda wat's sup 01:58, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have my userpage in my watchlist, I saw you reverting and I came to thank you and it looks like we both left a message at the same time because of that. Thanks again --Jaranda wat's sup 02:03, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Some one named Curps blocked me when I came to read about Kevin Harvick who is racing as we speak. I was blocked a couple times before I registered but I have never been a vandal just make a mistake and spelled some words wrong and a user got really mad at me because he said it was his article and none of my business but that was when I was a #. I am signed in and confused.--Shella ° 20:04, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have AOL? --Jaranda wat's sup 20:36, 19 February 2006 (UTC) Hi again![reply]

Yep they sure do here.--Shella ° 21:00, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
With AOL your IP address changes all the time (even between viewing consecutive pages). So you might get an IP recently used by a vandal. Curps is very experienced, so has probably done the right thing. Since the IP changes so often, you should be able to edit articles. Try editing an article (eg: Mark Twain) - does it work now?--Commander Keane 21:09, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I tryed but it would not open and the ip address is different now and that is blocked too. Jranda must have told you he seems nice. I will try again.Shella ° 21:15, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does it say in the block summarry --Jaranda wat's sup 21:17, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hope this is what you mean This-- IP address has been blocked because it is believed to be an open proxy. To prevent abuse, editing Wikipedia from these proxies is currently prohibited. For more information about open proxies and what you can do, please see the WikiProject on open proxies.--which is a surprise. There are other users of the computer though so who knows.--Shella ° 21:34, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am signing off got lots to do and can't do anything here. I will come back later. Hey Jranda thanks and see you later.Shella ° 21:45, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You need to email Curps, telling him your IP and details etc.--Commander Keane 22:05, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, The IP address you gave in your e-mail is not an AOL address. It's a so-called "open proxy". Perhaps someone has configured your computer to use this open proxy instead of your regular ISP's address; if so, you should get the computer or browser reconfigured. Perhaps one of the other users on your computer can help you do this. Or, if you can use some other computer, you should be able to edit under your username, since there is no block on your username itself. -- Curps 03:04, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
