Amanda Conner[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the Amanda Conner article!

However, I had to revert your recent edits to the article for the following reasons:

1. Information in a biographical subject's article that goes to their notability cannot be sourced to the subject themselves, as with the additions to the article sourced to PaperFilms. While limited, minor information in an article like place of birth or residence can be sourced to primary or self-published sources, the material that makes the subject notable must be supported by secondary sources.

2. A number of paragraphs or passages you added were not accompanied by citations of reliable, secondary sources. These include the passage that begins "After some time under Sienkiewicz, Conner received her first official Marvel...", as well as specifying that Conner studied Illustration at the Joe Kubert School, when the cited source does not specify this.

3. Webites with user-generated info, including IMDb, Patch Media, etc., are not considered reliable under WP:USERG.

4. The wording in an article must be neutral, exhibit a formal tone, and not appear intended to promote the subject. Per these guidelines, passages like "...she tirelessly worked..." are inappropriate, as are changing simple, clear phrasing like "Her other published work includes..." to "Conner's commercial art portfolio includes..."

5. Regarding your accusation here that the section you replaced was "plagiarized", it was not. I know because I wrote it, and it was properly paraphrased, and cited the source from which it was derived.

I know that you're new here, and I don't want to discourage you from editing, but it is important to learn and adhere to the site's policies and guidelines. I urge you to read the guidelines that I've linked above. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks.
