A couple of tips to start -- all articles must comply with WP:N, meaning there is significant coverage of the article subject in independent reliable sources. Vannangal, for example, doesn't show that it meets the notability requirements because it only has one reference to a site affiliated with its founder. Also, when you are editing "navboxes" (the templates that go at the bottom of articles), please add links only to articles that already exist. Thanks! Hi :Calliopejen1, Thank you. I am more interested into knowing the kind of references that must be used to cite articles. Also, looking into how to reference from sources that are not online, but have been published on news papers and magazines that do not have online presence. I am also going through WP:N as you suggested.

I have tried to source a different citation for [Vannangal]]. Thanks Section377

Sorry for the delay! Somehow I missed this message. :( Any independent reliable source (i.e. with a reputation for fact-checking) can be used as a source. WP:RS has more information on what qualifies. Generally, reputable newspapers and books by reputable publishers are good choices. A blog is generally not a good source, but it may be appropriate if it is published by a reputable organization (e.g. the blogs on the New York Times website). Websites published by reputable organizations (e.g. NGO, government) may qualify, depending. If you have any questions about particular sources, you can ask me or ask at the reliable sources noticeboard. In terms of how to cite, you really just need to include enough information for another person to find the resource (for a book: title, author, publisher, year, ISBN, etc.; for a newspaper: article title, author if applicable, publication, date, etc.); the format is less crucial. If you'd like to learn more about formatting citations, I'd recommend watching the videos in Help:Referencing for beginners. Re Vannangal, the gaysidesi is a somewhat better source than the last one, but it's still a blog and I'm not really familiar with whether it is reliable or not (I don't have any personal knowledge re the LGBT blogosphere in India). Good luck and let me know if you have other questions! Calliopejen1 (talk) 17:49, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of coffee for you![edit]

Thanks for developing Wikipedia's information on LGBT topics in India. You seem to be a new user. If you have questions about using Wikipedia then feel free to message me and perhaps I can help. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:18, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Orinam[edit]

The article Orinam has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to be a local organization with local notability only. No evidence of any significant mention of this group elsewhere that would point to any wider notability. Fails WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
